Around Christmas time we invited a few friends around for drinks as we usually orgainise a Christmas gathering over the holidays to catch up and have a good night.

This year we decided to do a secret Santa, so we all were allocated someone to get presents for, with a gift price set at under £10. It was a bit of a laugh and everyone seemed to buy each other silly, novelty gifts. I received the Paladone Happy Man Corkscrew and also a match of this the Paladone Happy Man Bottle Stopper.

The Paladone Happy Man Bottle Stopper is a plastic red man with a happy face, standing with his arms and legs wide open, a little red bum and a bottle stopper where his manly bits should be. He is a little cartoon like figure and does not really resemble a real man at all, so I do not find him one bit offensive, however it would all depend on your sense of humour and taste.

I was really pleased with my Paladone Happy Man Bottle Stopper, and when I received it, it was a great laugh and probably one of the better novelty gifts that I have ever been given because it actually has a function.

I have found that this bottle stopper has been very useful and it keeps wine sealed up well. It is definitely fit for its purpose. It looks quite ridiculous when the little man is hovering over your wine bottle and I still find it quite funny when I see it.

I have found that this little bottle stopper has fitted on every wine bottle that I have tried it on, also it is plastic and very easily washed and reused.

I was given this as a present along with the other Paladone Happy Man, with a gift limit of £10, so I am guessing that this is no more than £5 to buy. Also the Paladone Happy Man Corkscrew is £5 in HMV so I am guessing this one is priced similar. Though it may be cheaper online so it is best to shop around.

Overall I think that this is a great novelty present and was really glad that I was given it as a gift. It works really well and it keeps wine fresher for longer. Overall I would give this 4 out of 5 stars. It loses a star as it is a little expensive and I am guessing that some people may not find it as funny as I do.
