Beauty Flash Bum!

Advantages: None that I can think of
Disadvantages: Expensive and over-rated

I was given a tube of this 'wonder cream' as a Christmas present from my in-laws just last Christmas. It sat inside my dressing table drawer until about three weeks ago, still in its original box/packaging etc, unused. I don't know why it's taken me so long to open the box and read the 'instructions leaflet' and actually use the stuff - maybe I was having a 'premonition' about it?? I have to say, Clairins Beauty Flash Balm, or, as it states in the French (also on the packaging/tube) "Baume Beaute Eclair" has been probably THE most disappointing beauty product I have used, EVER!! I've used a lot during my years, but this stuff does not live up to the hype, so don't waste your money. Review of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

From monster to model in a flash?

Advantages: Immediate radiance of skin, great with foundation
Disadvantages: Cost

of my best friends has very fair skin, being a red-head and she also has problems with sensitivity - so when she explained how Clarins used high quality ingredients with a more than above average percentage of natural plant extracts and that she'd never had any bad experiences with them - I decided to give the brand a go. The Beauty Flash Balm was not the first product that I tried, but having had success with various Clarins cleansers, toners and moisturisers without any bad reactions from my skin, I was looking for something which would brighten up my skin after one too many late nights or lack of sleep. Of course there is no substitute for 8 hours sleep, but sometimes we do need a little help to make up for our excesses! This seemed a good option to try. The Product and its claims: The main statement made by Clarins is that ...

Review of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

Translates well

Advantages: Great acting, good cinematography
Disadvantages: Nothing really happens (but in a good way)

also in the business. It seems a little surprising then that she chooses to make such small films about nothing in particular. Her first movie was the critically acclaimed ?Virgin Suicides,? which though engaging was hardly the most exciting or original film to have been made, borrowing heavily as it did from 1970s French Cinéma Vérité. Stylistically, her second film is much the same ? we still feel like interlopers on a private situation, but the characters are really likeable, so we want to watch. Where she excels is in drawing out great performances from good actors. She has also managed to accurately sum up the sense of isolation you feel when you are on your own in a foreign country, without any real knowledge of the language or culture. She does this by inserting lots of shots of Scarlett Johansson gazing out of her enormous hotel ...
