First off, if you must have color this is a must have for you because the color is crisp and clear.
If you would like a good audio, music, sound this is probably not for you because of the high peak of the volume, very low, would be too quiet to hear in a croud of people or any place where it is noisy.
If you are a first user I would suggest the Palm X, Palm IIIe they are cheap and work great! I found the unit to have excellent contrast and display. Once you are used to colour - it is difficult to go back to monochromatic displays. This is the color version of the Palm 3 and looks better and clearer for it. Memory is not upgradable and 8mb is not a huge amount. I have 3mb left and starting to worry. Bad mistake but I will cope
