I needed an organiser that allowed me store my addresses,a to do list that was easy to use and value for money.
The palm is a pen based system and once you have mastered the graffiti style of writing you are able to navigate the system easily. The sole problem with pen based systems and particulary with the graffiti style is mastering certain letters or just remembering them.
Features IR port: cool for beaming my Nokia phone number list to my palm which is then backed up to my PC, and if I change phone I can rebeam the list to the new phone. cool with software that allows me to control TV's, and videos etc. WAP browsing via IR port to IR port on mobile using the nokia modem allows me to view WAP pages anywhere, anytime.
Blue Back light screen: great for drawing using doodle pad in a dark pub with words I fancy you in illumious blue.
neat software: What would a computer be without software. One cool app I found allows me to encrypt and store my usernames and passwords in one place for all my web sites etc via 1 controlling password as I struggle in the modern day world of passwords for just turning the lights on.
And finally of course the cool see through cover.
The only drawback to the palm IIIe is the need for the disposable batteries which last around 2 months depending on use. However when you weigh this against the cost of an extra £150 for the rechargeable model this doesnt become such a consideration.
