The IIIe is probably most basic of the range but more than adequate for the average user. After being totally dumbfounded by the amount of competition on the market and the volumes of blurb to absorb to find a suitable recommendation I plumped for this one. It came down eventually to the software and the decision to go for a tried and tested product as opposed to the short lived Windows CE equivalent.
I needed a quick to learn organisor which could talk to my PC and which could hold enough information on a spreadsheet to enable me to travel. The "Graffiti" input is easy to accomplish with a nifty and easy quick keyboard simulator. Plenty of software, including games, some of it free, all add to make it a useful gadget. It is useful to download email to deal with on the move, even prepare replies for later transmission.
The only drawback if I were to be picky is that the memory was not expandable but with technology to overcome that problem around the corner, I was told, I still have ample capacity. As my usage increases I will be looking at the Palm V's to upgrade and look forward to the inevitable enhancements.
