The Palm IIIe is one of the budget range Palms, costing only a little over £100. It comes in a clear plastic case, and looks very nice! I bought it because I wanted to have a PDA, but could not afford to spend very much.
Considering the price, the IIIe has a lot of features. It may only have 2Mb of memory and a monochrome screen, and the OS may not be upgrdeable, but other than that it is a regular Palm. It has the same programs as its bigger brothers, and there are plenty more available to download from the internet.
The IIIe takes AAA batteries, rather than a rechargeable battery that is recharged when you put the Palm in the HotSynch cradle. If you are a very heavy user, you may find you spend a lot of money on batteries, but my sets last about a month, and I use my Palm quite a bit.
I find 2Mb of memory is more than enough at the moment, and am very happy with my Palm. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a PDA.
