This is one mighty phone whith heaploads of features from phone applications to pda applications.
The phone itself
Its not the most beautiful phone or the smallest phone on the market but as you can see it has a nice big, Bright, clear screen. It has an external SD card slot and an external sim slot. Next to the sd card there is the infared port. It has a five way navigation button which means you dont need to use a stylus to select what you want. The battery life is good avaeraging about 4-5 days with the phone on. Anouther nice feature is that you can have the phone off and just access the pda featuers.
The screen
The screen is a very clear and bright and is a 320x320 color display with 16-bit color (displays over 65,000 colors).
. It isnt glossy which makes in not have glare or reflection.
Soft ware
The treo comes with several good applications including microsoft word, spread sheets, Web, Memos, Realplayer, contacts, messaging and versa mail which you can pick up your email with.
Word works well in conjunction with a third party applicatin called "graffiti anywhere" which is a program which lets you write on screen then it converts it into text.
Spread sheet work the same as on a computer and is very good.
The web browser is okay and takes alot of setting up and is very slow. It doesnt get all websites and it often confusing.
Memos is basicaly the same as word exept for smaller files with less options
Real player is great for mp3 playback and works the same as on a pc.
Messaging is to pickup texts and does it well, it puts texts from the same people into a Instent messenger format with your message and the recipients in the same screen.
Versa mail takes alot of setting up but once its done its fine. Its download of the message time isnt too speedy but aslong as you arnt downloading 100s of emails its ok.
The internal memory is 22MB but you can put an sd up to 4gb in.(cost $500)
The camera has very sharp good picture quality with bright colors. The time between you pressing the button and the picture being taken is good for a phon but still isnt good for capturing that certain moment.
The video is crummy and goes boxy when in playback, it doesnt co-op well with quick movements and often slows down the phone.
The "hot sync" to the computer is very good and transfers everything from your phone onto your computer. You can also add stuff from your computer to your phone.

Review of Palm Treo 650
Advantages: 3G, Nice camera, MMC, Good feedback keypad, light sensor, theme, good loudspeaker, bluetooth. Disadvantages: Selected MMC card only, no infra, soft ringtone, low battery life, no full support pic msg, camera no protection cover.
