If you are looking at buying a Palm V, then DON'T. It has so little memory that it really makes it useless. When I first got it, I was pleased with it until I started downloading applications to it. Download one or two decent applications and you're struggling - and that's before you even add any other data to it. The Palm Vx is practically a Palm V with 8mb of memory and the difference is incredible. The Palm Vx is actually usable. Apart from the memory the Palm V is excellent. There are loads of apps out there ranging from commercial to freeware. Again, this leads me to memory. To use these apps you really need memory. I must admit that all the things that Palm V does, it does exceedingly well. The synchronisation is first class, the software supplied is not bad and the size and design is first class. It powers in the cradle and really only needs to be powered a few minutes every day. I used it every day and did not need to recharge the battery for a fortnight. This was highly commendable. In all aspects the Palm V looks good, feels good and promises a lot. However, the lack of memory really is it's downfall and is the reason why I could not recommend it. If you're looking for a Palm, get the Vx or the IIIc.
