I find the Palm Vx is just a great organiser. I mean, it's so slim, and not to mention there are literally MILLIONS of accessories available for it! At this time of year (2008) I'm sure most of us will go out and buy a new PDA. But, with the thousands of Palm softwares available and most work with OS 3.5-4.1 (with the upgrade) still. I think it's the best Palm device yet (and the Tungsten T3), they've put a lot of work into it at the time and was groundbreaking technology that could be fit into such a small package. I'm still using mine and it works perfectly. And it's great to know that there are accessories like a bluetooth adapter for it, GSM modem, standard modem, and tons more.

Now, to the real stuff.

It's very snappy (20MHZ!!) and 8MB is plenty for most users even today considering Palm applications are very small. Although this thing doesn't have an MP3 player, color screen or video player, it's perfectly good for anything other than that.

8Mb might seem like little today, but as mentioned before considering how small the apps are it's not an issue at all.

It's design is very sleek and slim, and many cases are available for it. In fact this Palm has the most accessories available for it compared to other PDas.

So, bottom line I'll recommend it to anyone looking for a good, fast, does-everything (with accessories of course!) PDA.

Today, you can get the for very cheap, and some even come with a whole host of accessories to get you started.

One warning to potential buyers, it has an inverted backlight which may annoy some, to fix this just go to Memo Pad, start a new memo, write the shortcut symbol(cursive L) and do two dots in the graffiti area, and write an 8 in the graffiti area. There are hacks available for this but this is the easiest way to do it. Please note it'll automatically reset when you reset, so you'll need to do this process again. Hope this helps someone.
