exact specifications of your palm Z22 handheld. It features our trademark Screen Saver System which uses a sheet of rigid, lightweight aircraft grade aluminum to line the case, protecting your delicate device screen from crushing and impact shocks
I recently purchased my Palm Z22 due to downgrading from a Sony Clie X70v due to the size of the previous handheld and as a wheelchair user it was way too big for me to carry around with me.
Upon receiving my Palm Z22 I noted the usual Palm packaging of Orange box with Charger, USB Cable, Software Disks and literature that you would expect with a new handheld organiser and of course the palm Z22 was in a plastic casing which held the orange box which I felt was a bit stupid cause even though its suspended from the edges I would still be worried about damage to the handheld more internally rather than externally.
When you first receive your Palm Z22 you will need to charge it for 2 hours minimum as when you first try to turn on the handheld it doesn't work and will only work after the initial 2 hour charge, not even connecting the device to your PC/Laptop via the USB cable supplied does it work so if you want to use your handheld device upon opening the box you'll just have to wait whether you like it or not. And if you're like me you probably won't!
The Full Contents of the Box are as follows:
Palm® Z22 handheld Stylus USB sync cable Power adapter 3-step setup guide Graffiti® 2 sticker Software Install CD-ROM with Palm® Desktop, Tutorial, Getting Started Guide, User Guide and Bonus Software Sudoku game (Only where available)
The Palm Z22 is feature rich with the usual features such as contact organiser, date book and calendar among other great features of which I shall include below:
Affordable personal organiser Simple, easy to use Keeps your information safe Cool and compact design Personalise it with photos, shopping lists and handy bonus software Bright, colourful screen Infrared Port: Share information such as Contacts between compatible devices via the "beam" function Colour Touchscreen Display: Great for viewing photos of family and friends Calendar Button: Tap for direct access to your Calendar 5-Way Navigator: Navigate through your information with one-handed ease. Click to make a selection Up-Down-Left- Right Button: Click to move around on the display Home Button: Tap for direct access to all your applications Menu Button: Tap to access options in an application Graffiti® 2 Writing Area: Enter letters & numbers with your stylus Sync Button: Synchronise your info with your computer Find Button: Find anything on your organiser with a tap Contacts Button: Tap for direct access to your Contacts Charging Connector: A rechargeable battery keeps you going Mini USB Connector: Share and back up info to your computer
You will also be able to install other software which you get on the installation disk. Mine also came with the popular new game Sudoku which I have chosen not to install as I don't know how to play the game but if you are a fan and you can find a palm z22 with sudoku then you'll be over the moon.
The only downfall I didn't like about the Palm Z22 is the lack of memory (32mb to be exact) compared to some of the handheld devices you can get on the market these days but when you consider that you'll only be paying around £69.99 for this item then you can't expect too much.
All in all I am very happy with this device and I would encourage anyone who is looking for a cheap but stylish handheld PDA to go out and buy the Palm Z22 as you won't go far wrong, it may even be suitable for a young teenager too thats just how easy it is to use.
Advantages: A great organisation tool Disadvantages: Basic (if needed for more complicated functions)

Advantages: Stylish, easy to use Disadvantages: Lack of memory, slow and battery doen't last long
...I've had to reset my Palm 4 times; I'd have binned mine if it hadn't had packed up for good. The lack of memory that the Z22 offers is also rather laughable. I must say I struggled to even get a full phone book on it. The only few pluses that I can think of are that it is extremely easy to use and it does look rather sylish. In terms of it being a good PDA it has alot to be desired for.
Palm also will not offer a replacement or fix it as 8 months ...

...Love it. Have found Palm quite easy to use as you can connect it to the computer and put all the information on the big screen and then sync it with the hand held. Advantages: Small easy to use and not that expensive Disadvantages: Naff case comes with it.
...What a great little PDA. This is my first real PDA that I have owned. When looking to buy one with a limited budget I wanted to make sure that the one I got was going to be adequate.
I nearly bought the PalmZ22, but was put off it because unlike the Palm Tungsten E2, it can not be added to.
The Tungsten E2 come with everything you need, charger with pins that can be changed for different countries, so no travel adapter required for it, stylue, screen protector, software for your PC, and a leather case - well thats the only down side I've found. The case is useless, its one piece of leather (I think), and would not protect anything.
The Palm Tungsten E2, can be expanded by using SD memory cards, it can play MP3 files, view your favouite pictures, open, create and edit MS word & excel files.
The 11.4 * 7.8 * 1.5cm sized PDA...
