I am brand loyal, not strictly mind..i do like to go wild and try new things every now and again but i always come back to firm favourites and one of those being the palmer's cocoa butter formula with vitamin e.
The bottle is a simple white colour of 250ml's...with a sky blue label on the front with the palmer's orange tag and claims on the front to soften, smooth and relieve dry skin. The blurb at the back tells me it also helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and is an excellent after tanning butter..
wow so thats a lot of claims from one small white ordinary bottle but i can truly say it lives up to all those promises and more.. the actualy colour is a yellow-orange and the consistency is pretty thick like some hair conditioners can be but its also suprisingly light and absorbs into the skin in a matter of minutes. It smoothens my skin and tones it and feels so light and luxurious all for less than £4 pounds a bottle..its almost a staple in every household bathroom/bedroom cabinet!
it contains cocoa extract, coconut oil extract, tochaperol acetate (vitamin e), mineral oil and palm oil to help moisturise and nourish the skin. it clearly claims at the bottom of the ingredients that Palmer's are against animal testing and that Palmer's do not manufacture store brands.. originating from new jersey, USA the palmer's brand have the largest selection of cocoa butter products as well as shea butter and olive butter products - which i have used and had great success with but i keep coming back to this for the smell....
the smell.. is delicious, simply i smell like a walking talking chocolate lollypop afterwards it just soo yummy i feel like munching on me sometimes too ha ha while some might find the smell overpowering as i shower and moisturise in the evenings i find i smell gorgeous going to bed and by morning the smell will have faded enough not to overpower any perfume i choose to wear. It is a slightly heavier body lotion than most and i do alternate with nivea smooth sensation body lotion but definetly would say i prefer this that one simply for the smell and the fact it tones the skin so well.
As for scars and stretch marks.. I haven't seen a marked improvement in existing scars but have not found any new ones and older ones do look fainter with long term use. It is the most widely reccomended body lotion brand for pregnant women to use before and during and after pregnancy and my friend who just gave birth to a little angel called maya swears by this lotion! Of all the palmer's cocoa butter formula's i have to say this is my favourite.. the solid cream is too thick and too hard to apply and the massage lotion just doesn't smell as great as this one. sometimes old boring and traditional is best and thats why i will trust this over newer body lotions out there that smell fabulous and are attractively packaged. Can be used by both men and women and especially good for those with dry very sensative skin.
