Palmolive is an old company renowned for their soaps. I grew up with Imperial Leather soap, but my husband used Palmolive, so I used to buy a bar sometimes just to keep him happy! When liquid soaps became popular I started to buy them but the men in my family said they preferred "proper" soap, they are now converted I am glad to say.
I usually look out for reductions when I'm shopping and buy bottles of liquid soap to keep in the cupboard, saving pennies is important these days. I was pleased to see Tesco had Palmolive on sale at two 300ml bottles for £1.50 so popped some in the trolley. I must have had a senior moment as the one bottle was called Palmolive Aquarium and has a dolphin floating around inside the bottle! Currently at Tesco it is on sale at £1.68.
On the front of the bottle apart from the name there is an "under the sea" picture with fish, plants, star fish etc and on the back of the bottle is a blue scene resembling the sea and more plant life. The clever bit is the dolphin, which is on a piece of plastic or acetate inside the bottle and it moves around a little when you tip the bottle. On the back of the bottle in 12 different languages it states that it is liquid Hand wash and has a neutral pH of 5.2, there is a list of the ingredients, there are also phone numbers and postcodes but I'm afraid the writing is so small I can't read them! The plastic bottle is recyclable.
The plunger is a good sized teardrop shape and easy to press down on, but I was a little disappointed that the liquid soap seemed to trail from the dispenser, leaving a soapy mark on the washbasin where it sits. But having said this, the clear soap is thick and gives a good lather, it also has a nice fresh slightly floral smell. It leaves my hands clean and fairly soft, but I usually use hand cream a few times a day. It is suitable for men or women but I would say it is aimed at getting children to wash their hands! As my children have grown up and left home, I doubt that I will buy this liquid soap again unless it is the only one on offer.
Advantages: Colourful and interesting in your bathroom or kitchen. Disadvantages: None.
...in my local shop was Palmolive Aquarium hand soap. The product was on a special offer so I was naturally drawn to it. It was three bottles for just less than two pounds. An excellent start to my shopping that day. What I like about this particular hand soap is the packaging, it is lovely. The bottle is clear plastic with the brand at the top then inside the bottle is a little aquarium with little fish freely floating about amongst rocks and coral, ... ...review). This particular product from Palmolive doesn't boast antibacterial properties, but this does not put me off buying it. The bottle is recyclable, so all good on the environment front. The soap itself is very thick when it comes out of the bottle. It is clear and has a lovely fresh smelling fragrance. I can't really put my finger on what it smells of but it is kind of like fresh flowers on a wet morning. When you rub in your hands it makes ...

Probably the best thing about he Aquarium soap is the cool funky bottle it comes in. Like the name suggests the bottle features a colourful sea life picture. In my opinion it is a great product, it smells very fresh not over powering quiet sweet.
My children are for ever using it, which is good, if it can get your children washing there hands then it gets the big thumbs up from me, because usually children forget. It is so mild for them to use that there little hands don't become dry.

Advantages: Silky, smoothes dry skin, good for all skin types Disadvantages: None
I'm a big fan of the Palmolive products in general as I use their milk and honey wash in the shower and the aquariumhandwash (definietly check this out if you have kids, they'll love it) so when I saw the new Palmolive Pure Cashmere Shower Creme I decided to give it a try.
I found them while looking for the milk and honey in Sainsburys and they were the same price, £1.89 for a 300ml bottle so I bought one.
The marketing of this cashmere shower creme is aimed at people with really dry skin. a sample line of their marketing states, "as you lather your skin, its luxurious milk formulation envelops you in softness leaving you feeling as it you're wrapped up in the finest cashmere. The cashmere in the title definitely gives the notion of silk/quality/expensiveness/luxury, which is nice.
I used it for the first time a few weeks ...
