For fans of Brigitte Bardot, this film is a must-see, as she is frequently the camera's focus of attention. The camera roves over her naked body and lingers on her beautiful face - as befits the international star she already was in 1963 when this film was made. In fact it's almost a parody of the 'star-image' as used in films. One thing you quickly realise about this film is that it is always playing with cinematic imagery, always defying expectations and explanations. Although this was Godard's first big-budget production, he by no means capitulates to the Hollywood norm. This is far from being a mainstream film, in fact it is practically a comment on the constraints imposed on films by budgeting/production demands. the way) has the kind of seat belts that you'd normally find on an airplane... or tank. The guy also eats left over pizza by firstly cutting it up with scissors. Let's not forget the most random montage ever: Brigitte Nielsen in the most ridiculous outfit, prancing around a group of robots, to the sound of Robert Tepper's "Angel of the City". Go ahead woman, seduce those cyborgs!
Critics on the whole hated it, but action freaks loved it; either way, if you want an bad excuse to grab a beer and have a man moment away from the nagging missus then Marion "Cobra" Cobretti is definitely for you. Hell, I didn't even need an excuse:
I think I was a little ten year old boy when I first saw Cobra and women wouldn't come anywhere near me. Yes, I was a geek. Their loss. Retro's cool now, didn't you know?

The sequel was never going to be as good as the original classic, but still, this is a very good film. Eddie Murphy stars as the cop Axel Foley who come to Beverly Hills to help investigate and attack on his friend by the Alphabet team. He becomes entangled in a major league crime wave being led by Brigitte Nielsen as he tries to bring them down.
Eddie Murphy is his usual humorous self and this is highly action packed fats moving comedy film that really is a great watch.
But I have to admit that the original is the one to watch from the series of Beverly Hills Cop movies.
But I love Eddie Murphy movies and this most certainly does not disappoint. ...
