Advantages: Cheap, clean and location, location, location! Disadvantages: old-fashioned, elevator from hell
In 2007-2008 I lived in San Francisco for work for 4.5 months. The first two week I spent in the Dakota Hotel, in search for a spot of my own.
Dakota hotel caught my eye for a number of reasons: the price and the location. Normally, you'd have to rob a bank or two to stay in a hotel in the heart of San Francisco for two weeks. Luckily, Dakota offered an attractive rate for long-term stays. I thought it would certainly be worth a look, given it's excellent location.
Location
You see, location is undoubtedly one of Dakto Hotels strongest points. This hotel is situated on 606 Post Street, approximately 2 blocks from Union Square. In the street itself, there are a number of restaurants and a small supermarket.

I feel the weight of responsibility, writing the first review of a whole state, but I shall take a deep breath, flex my fingers, and have a go. I ended up there to do a postgraduate degree (long story) and lived there for two very satisfying and enjoyable years.
********TRAVEL
Plane - You can fly into one of North Dakota's little airports: Grand Forks International Airport is a shed (a very nice shed) outside town that gets its fancy title from the weekly flight to Winnipeg, Canada. Personally, I quite like to fly to Minneapolis (see peteshone's splendid review of that city) because it's a darm cheaper: currently around £520+ at expedia.co.uk from London in June, as against its cheapest price of nearly two grand to go to Fargo and back (although you could find that cheaper I think).
Train - is my prefered mode of transport into ND ...
Advantages: Not too big, not too small. Spacious, nice look, handles great, and much more. Disadvantages: Only averages about 17.5-19.5 gallons/mile. Very common truck in the U.S., because lots of people love them.
I'm a 20 year old female that wanted to purchase a truck, due to living on gravel roads. That's not the only reason, I've always preferred trucks over any other vehicle. When I began my research for a new truck, I started out wanting a Chevy or a Ford. Since I'm a young, small female, I thought I should go for a small truck. Based on size and looks alone, I don't care for the small Chevy S-10, or the small square Ford Ranger. Dodge hadn't even crossed my mind until my father suggested it. When I researched the Dodge Dakota, I knew it was for me. It's a bigger truck than the Chevy S-10 and Ford Ranger, but it's not a full size F150 or anything.
I made my decision and financed a Dodge Dakota on Sept. 10, 2002 for $25,000 at 0% A.P.R. for 60 months. It had 0 mileage and I've broke it in well already up to about 13,500 miles. I ...
