Pampers care mats, I thought they were just for those paranoid parents who couldn't possibly change poor baby kins in a public bathroom or bench. Whats wrong with a towel?
I digress, these are in fact bed incontince pads for kids I am quite shocked. what's wrong with a plastic matress protector and even a smaller sheet as a draw sheet would be better. what do you do if they god-forbid, miss the mat and pee on the sheet?
wet beds are as much a part of parenting as walking them to school. Beware of rip off items like this, preying on the fact your busy and it's time saving. It takes minutes to bung the sheet it in the machine.
pampers should hang their heads in shame.
The environmental issue too - needs no explanation.

I totally disagree with your op, sorry. You've not mentioned the fact that they come in 2 sizes and you seem to have only encountered the large size for beds. The smaller size is for normal changing and I've been using them for 2 years now and couldn't have managed without them.

Highly agree although op needs more detail. Big companies have a way of marketing these things so that mums are made to feel guilty if they don't use them. When people talk about the cost of babies it's because of things like this. All mine used a towel if necessary, had reusable nappies and were breastfed, theres no real need to spend a fortune. I have a baby shop and am amazed by the nonsense that parents are made to think is necessary in order to be a good parent. God knows they cost enough when they get older and actually ask for things!!

Hi, I agree that they are another way for the company to make money but I did buy a packet last summer when my now toddler was a baby as it was nice for her to lay on them and have a quick around without a nappy on, all the while protecting her play gym which would have been a pain to wash. I think you need to add a little more detail for those who have never heard of these. If you edit let me know and I'll re-rate. Cheers. KJ
