I brought a packet of pampers care mats when I was booked in to the hospital to have my baby 6 weeks ago. The reason I got these was to protect my bed when I was bleeding after the birth.
The changing mats are square in shape and the top of the mat is slightly padded with diagonal shapes. the back of the mats have some blue writing saying pampers change mats place this side down and various coloured pitchers. The size of each mat is 60 x 60 cm.
The packet has the Pampers logo at the top and says change mats underneath in white writing on an orange back round. There’s a pitcher of a woman changing a baby on a changing mat with yellow flowers in the back round. So it’s quite an eye catching packet. The back of the packet has some pitches showing some suggestions for use they are: Nappy changing at home. Sitting a toddler on the couch without a nappy. Changing a nappy in the car. Using the mats when you wind a baby. A mat on the grass with baby having an airing. A toddler sitting on the floor with food. A toddler sitting on a potty with a mat under the potty. If your travelling on a plane or train ECT. The pack comes with 12 changing mats and costs £4.99.
When using these mats for my self I found them great for protecting my mattress and sheets. They were comfortable to sleep on and didn't move about. Each mat lasted 3 nights as long as I didn't leak on them.
When I used them in my 3 year old son’s bed they were not as good as he moves around a lot in his sleep. In the morning I found the mat screwed up at the side of the bed and the bed was wet instead of the mat.
I have also used them on my new born and found them a waste of time and money. When my baby had a wee the mat didn't absorb it very well and soaked my little girl. I could move her to another part of the mat though as there a fair size.
Overall I not that satisfied with the product I think there great for that once a month thing but not at all great for kids. As that’s who there aimed for it a big let down. I would not recommend them for use with kids.
