I have always used Pampers Premium nappies as my main nappy and have very rarely had any problems, although there have been a few hiccups. Let me tell you about them...
I vividly remember that when Ellie, who is 5 now was about 5 months old Pampers decided to change their nappies. They brought out the 'New Improved' pampers premiums. BIG MISTAKE for me or should I say Ellie. They had added a substance which I believe was for freshness ... ...me using the new improved pampers ellie had developed what looked like a burn all over her nappy area which then quickly spread down onto her upper thighs. I called out the health visitor and she was stumped because it was plainly not nappy rash so I ended up taking ellie to my gp because by day 5 it looked absolutely horrendous and ellie was constantly screaming from the pain. Now I read somewhere once that on average a Mum or Dad can change upto 6,000 nappies a year in their babies first year and I think it was about 4,000 nappies for the following year, so if I quickly work that out I have probably changed around 50,000 nappies and that is without the following months, years that get them to potty trained and without the numerous nappies I have changed whilst babysitting ( yes crazy woman does still babysit even though my house is like the waltons already!). With that information out I think I can safely say that I know what I am doing with a nappy!!

I vividly remember that when Ellie, who is 5 now was about 5 months old Pampers decided to change their nappies. They brought out the 'New Improved' pampers premiums. BIG MISTAKE for me or should I say Ellie. They had added a substance which I believe was for freshness in the lining of the nappy, which on the surface sounded great but within 2 days of me using the new improved pampers ellie had developed what looked like a burn all over her nappy area which then quickly spread down onto her upper thighs. I called out the health visitor and she was stumped because it was plainly not nappy rash so I ended up taking ellie to my gp because by day 5 it looked absolutely horrendous and ellie was constantly screaming from the pain. I was gobsmacked to learn that ellie had had an allergic reaction to whatever was in the new improved nappies. We discovered this by elimination as I have always had to use the same washing powder, fabric conditioner as all my kids have very sensitive skin, I had not given ellie any new kinds of food, I had not eaten anything different ( was still breast feeding at time) and the only thing that had changed was the nappies. She was prescribed steroid cream to start with to take the inflammation down and then for about 6 months I had to use a barrier cream because her skin was extremely sensitive. I contacted Pampers because one I was very angry that it had happened to my little baby girl and I also didn't want it happening to any other little baby. They were extremely apologetic, promised they would do further testing and sent me money off coupons but as you can guess there was no way I was going to put pampers on ellie again so I swapped to tesco own nappies which were brilliant (and half the price I might add too!!).
I used pampers again on Chloe who came next and had no problems whatsoever, and sam had them too. To be honest with Sam I had no choice really as they are the only brand that do tiny nappies and he was a premmie. Later on when Sam was about 10 months old I bought a packet of pampers from tescos as normal only to find when I tried to use them that every nappy had faulty tabs. They all came off in my hand when I tried to stick them over. Again I contacted Pampers who sent me coupons for a months supply of pampers after I had posted them the faulty pack back.
The final problem I have had with pampers is that when you get to the larger sizes, 5+ (junior plus) 29-60lbs they tend not to do a good a job as the rest of their sizes do. Now I only use these at night for the girls as they are very lazy and flat out refuse to get up and use the loo without screaming the entire street down!!. I would like to point out that on the packaging of these particular nappies it states in big letters that it keeps your baby dry for upto 12 hours !!!!! So again after several nights of changing bed sheets and going through at least 4 nappies each girl per night I decided to try tesco own nappies again in the size 6 extra large, BINGO they didn't leak and we only had to use one per night. The other bonus to that is we were paying £5.96 for 24 5+ pampers and only £3.95 for 30 size 6 tesco own nappies. Now I know this may not seem alot in money terms but when you think at one point I had 3 children in nappies 2 of them fulltime it can save alot of pennies.
After saying all this I still use size 5 pampers premiums on Sam and have no problems with them at present although I think when he does get bigger I will have to look for an alternative, sadly it would seem that tesco have stopped producing size 6 nappies as they have been off the shelves for over 2 weeks now so we are currently trying boots own in the largest size. I think they are okay on sam because he isn't as chunky as the girls were, we had alot of problems because ellie had quite chunky thighs and the nappies were always quite stingy on the give around the legs and possibly he doesn't wee as much as the girls as I think they can only hold a couple of small wees before they start to leak.
Although Pampers are very good at having promotions on their nappies, usually 2 packs of 50 for £16 or the smaller packs at 2 for £10 they still are the most expensive nappies on the market right now. The company they are made by are Proctor & Gamble and they have pretty much thought of everything as I think it's only pampers and huggies that do travel sized packs of nappies which are always handy in emergencies. The have an excellent customer service program and all their details on how to be contacted etc are clearly printed on every packet.
There are several different kinds of pampers, from pampers active to pampers pull ups. They even have swim nappies which again I found were okay but tended to fill up with water quite quickly. You can buy pampers pretty much anywhere from supermarkets to corner shops stock them.
So would I recommend them, I would have to say yes because on a whole they have been pretty good but I would warn that if they are new or improved watch your babies beautiful bum carefully and look for a good alternative when they get a bit bigger and are still using nappies.
...of me always always using pampers with my daughter now 3 years of age and my mothers always swear by Pampers so they were always used on, so when I was carrying my Daughter and Son when I knew I was out of danger zone, every time I would do my food shopping I would buy Pampers to get stocked up (like others baby products)
With my daughter I always found they great easy absorbed and no leaks and I don't know if it was luck but I can honestly say ... ...respect my wishes and use pampers on him which I have notice they have I also bring them into the hospital (so I am happy)
PRICE
All of Pampers nappies are around £5.65 per pack regardless of the size. Which changes in price if you buy them when deals are on at the super market or buy them in bulk which again brings down the price making it cheaper (happy mums as we all know how much and how expensive these are). Instead of the price changing as ...

Advantages: Great. Baby stops dry and no more sore bums. Wide range. Disadvantages: None
I have been using Pampers now for over 3 years now. When I was pregnant with my son everyone told me that Pampers where the best and that there was no other nappy that comes close to Pampers. Ok I thought. Every baby magazine I picked up or brought had either Pampers or Huggies in. So I opted for Pampers. I have only used Huggies once as there was no Pampers in the shop that was the size we wanted. Though I carried on using the pack up as the days ... ...and a bear. Pampers do quite a large range of different nappies and styles to suit even the most sensitive bums. SIZES & RANGE.
Newborn.
These as you could tell are for new born babies. The nappy is a tad boring compared to the rest of the Pampers range. These are basically white with a yellow trim and also the pictures on the waistband. These do not come with flexile sides like the baby dry do now. These are also hard to miss as the packs are ...

Advantages: great fit, stretchy waistband and very absorbent Disadvantages: expensive compared to other brands
...I found that the Pampers didn't fit very well for my newborn as he was premature and quite tiny. I bought another brand once I had finished my stockpile - a supermarket brand which was cheaper but a better fit. Now that my son is 7 months old and quite a little wriggler the supermarket brands are hopeless. I now use Pampers Active Fit after try out various big name and supermarket brands. He sleeps 12 hours at night so I need to be able to rely on his nappy to do its job. Pampers Active always does. During the day they are equally effective for both numbers one and two. They also keep nappy rash at bay by keeping any moisture away from the skin.
All in all Pampers Active Fit is the best nappy I have tried. I would recommend it to anyone. ...

...a wiggling, walking toddler? Well Pampers have just added to the choice of nappies which are now available, especially for toddlers. Pampers have been one of the leading nappy sellers since disposable nappies came on the market have just solved the most annoying problem since nappy rash. Yes, its a pull up nappy for toddlers. To the new parent its hard to think that small babe who is so dependent can suddenly change into a squirming, screaming walker ... ...time. So what makes these pampers easy-up nappies special? A traditional disposable nappy which you lay out, put baby's bottom on the back half , fold the front half over and do up with two tabs, either Velcro or sticky tabs. This strategy is fine until they start crawling, wiggling and crawling about. Easy-up nappies can be used after 10 months of age and comes in two sizes, maxi and Junior . Ideally Easy Up nappies can be used when babe is crawling ...

...could ever afford to buy Pampers nappies but of course as soon as she arrived she was suddenly catapulted (although not quite literally; actually I dont know about that, the birth WAS quite traumatic!) to the top of the list of most precious things in the world today. Advantages: Keep everything in & dont rub babys legs Disadvantages: none
Being a new mum I didn't have a clue where to start when it came to buying nappies etc, the only reason I purchased these nappies was because boots had a offer where if you purchased a pack of these you got a free changing bag.
I am now very pleased that I had purchased these nappies, I find them very easy to put on my baby (even when she is wriggling around), they are very soft and don't leave red makes around my baby legs (unlike other brands I have tried). These nappies also keep everything in, I have had quite a few what I call exploding nappies now & not a bit of it has got on her clothes or anywhere else other than in the nappy.
Many people bought us nappies etc to get us started so I have tried a couple of different brands now and I think Pampers are the best by a mile and I intend to carry on using pampers as my baby gets older ...
Sainsbury's own brand nappies are great value for money! They are flexible, colorful and much cheeper than pampers or huggies. The hold fluid and number two's (shall we say) very well, in-fact there is no difference on that front at all. They last all night without leakage, and as my daughter is 7 months old and moving about they hold very well in the day too.
They cover a wide range of sizes. At the moment I use the 4 maxi explore, they are in purple. The colors are not loud, the previous ones I used were green. The color is only at the top of the nappy - just like pampers.
I've actually held a pampersnappy and a Sainbury's own in each hand and there is no difference in feel, comfort or fixings the only thing different is the color!
At £5.98 for 46 (on the ones I'm talking about) they are like half the price of pampers or huggies ...
Advantages: good elasticated legs fair price Disadvantages: none that I know of
When my daughter was born I bought pampersnappies as I had no problems with them with my older daughter.
Although I didn't have a problem with them as such they seemed very tight around the legs.
So on my next visit to buy nappies I thought I would look at other options.
Huggies seemed a reasonable price, I paid 8.96 for 72. I bought stage 2 which are still for newborns.
They state 3-6kg/7-13lb. My baby is now nearly 11lb there is hardly any marks on her legs as they are quite elasticated. They have not leaked and she seems quite dry.
It states on the packet "Our Softest Ever" and they do seem to be soft.
They have a picture of winnie the pooh on the front and they seem to take the wetness away - no nappy rash ...
