Advantages: soothing, do the job Disadvantages: none
Everyone who has a baby relies on baby wipes. You find yourself using them constantly and not just for when it's nappy changing time but for cleaning your baby's face when it's smeared with baby food which always goes everywhere or so it seems, for wiping sticky fingers and I even use mine for wiping down her toys and the highchair tray and kitchen sides.
I go through hundreds of wipes every week as they're so useful but I have found ... ...brand you go for.
I have tried Pamper's simply dry and i found them far too dry, they didn't do the job properly as I felt I had to apply a lot of pressure on my baby's skin to clean it so it made her uncomfortable. I have tried Huggie's with aloe vera and although these were very kind to the skin they were too moist! They left my baby's skin so damp I was worried she would get chapped skin!

I go through hundreds of wipes every week as they're so useful but I have found that there are huge differences in quality depending upon the brand you go for.
Eventually I came across Pamper's sensitive which I was actually given in a trial packet in one of my Bounty bags and now I use these all the time as I think they are the best for me.
Each pack contains 63 wipes. I always wonder where they get their numbers from. With a different brand a pack contained 74 wipes and the nappies we use have 56 in a pack. I wonder why they never have a round number and if there is some scientific explaination as to why they are so random!
I find that a pack of 63 wipes lasts about 5 days for me, some weeks I find that they last must longer but then there are times when I can go through a whole pack in just two days so on average I think about 5 days.
The pack opens easily with the resealable plastic peeling away exposing the wipes which then are easy to pull out. They do sometimes stick together so I have been known to get my knees involved with trying to pull them apart whilst holding my baby and trying to keep her clean! It would be nice to have some form of wipe which doesn't join to the next ones in the packet quite so well!
The wipes themselves are quite moist. They are not dripping in water nor are they totally dry, I think they are a happy medium. When wiping my baby they feel very soft and gentle on her skin and they are very good at cleaning her. I don't feel like I have to apply pressure to clean her skin nor do I feel as though I need to use an excessive amount of wipes either.
The wipes contain cammomile and aloe which both soothe and are good for the skin. They are perfume free and don't seem to have a smell really. They smell very faintly of baby wipes but it's not overpowering. I have used some which smell very strong and I realy didnt like it.
The package suggests that once a packet is opened the wipes should be used within 3 months which is no problem at all! Wipes never go that long in our house without being used up completely!
As for money, these wipes vary so much as they are often on offer for buy one get one free or, when you're lucky they're £1 which is a bargain! They usually are £1.50-2.00 depending upon where you buy them. They are not always available, sometimes I have been to our supermarket and been disappointed to see that they are out of stock so instead have had to buy some others but they are usually available in supermarkets, boots and other pharmacies.
I do recommend these as they are very gentle on the skin and they do do the job. They are pretty thin too which is also a bonus as it makes it easier to get between fingers and other small places which the thicker wipes are a bit more difficult to get at.
Advantages: Soft and strong Disadvantages: Not wet enough for me.
...recently sent a pack of Pampers Sensitive Baby wipes for testing from one of my survey sites and as these are available to buy in the shops I thought I would do a review on them.
My usual brand is Johnsons and have always got on very well with them but if something is free I will definately use them.

Advantages: good quality and size Disadvantages: On the higher price level
...It is also specified that Pampers Sensitive Wipes are designed with a touch of lotion and milk essentials and help restore the natural balance of your baby's skin. They come in packs of sixty three wipes and for an average price of around £2.39 (as of February 2009). *My verdict* These wipes do exactly as described. A thorough wipe can be made with one wipe due to their generous size and moistness. When using these, I can feel the softness on my ... ...Each wipe is soft but strong and has a pleasant and clean smell to it. The packet feels soft and squishy to touch which shows the softness and the moistness inside. Although the packet has no fancy resealable lid on it, the adhesive opening lasts long enough to open and reseal for the life of the packet of wipes. Although my son has sensitive skin, these wipes are soft and gentle on his face and bottom. They leave no red marks and only a wipe is ...

Advantages: Nice thickness, not too wet, packaging works well, easy and convenient. Cleans well. Disadvantages: none found to date.
...come back to buying either Pampers or Johnsons. Although more expensive, and often containing less wipes per packet, I believe the better quality is worth paying for. Pampers Sensitive Wipes with Aloe and Chamomile are perfume free. They do have a slight smell to them - but it's a clean smell, non offensive. They have been dermatologically tested and the packet states that they restore natural skin balance up to 2x better than water. Each packet ... ...1 get 1 free or 3 for 2 offers and then stock up. I find that the wipes are easy to get out of the packet - this is a major bugbear of mine (yes I live a sad life, I know!), but I have found that some of the cheaper wipes do not come out of the packet well and you end up struggling trying to juggle a wriggling baby with a dirty bum in the air whilst wrestling to get a wipe out. (Yes I know, the organised amongst us get the wipes out first, so you ...

Advantages: Great at wiping faces Disadvantages: doesn't smell great
We first bought the wipes in a supermarket, there was a big box with about 12 packets inside and it worked out cheaper than the usual wipes we get. We opened up the first packet and noticed that they were a bit softer than what we normally got, but still had that bit of texture to be great at cleaning off the dried on bit of rusk that you find an hour after you think you have got it all off!!
My son suffers from dermatitis and it flares up if the ... ...says, we tried him with the wipes and in my opinion the wipes does as they say!!! I use them every day for cleaning my baby, changing her nappy and always wiping down surfaces- i have even known to use the odd wipe for dusting! yes that's right!

Advantages: Moist, strong, fresh and soft Disadvantages: a bit pricey in comparison to other brands
My mum bought me these wipes while I was expecting my first child. I did feel they were a bit pricey so I tried many different brands of baby wipes to see if I could find something that was jsut as good but a bit cheaper. Brands I have tried include morrisons, tescos, co-ops, sainsburys and johnsons baby wipes. I have still found pamperssensitivewipes to be the best. My son has not had a sore bum once. The wipes have a pleasant fresh chamomile & aloe scent and are very moist.
I found all the other brands very dry in comparison and some of the wipes were quite small meaning you have to go through double the wipes when you have a dirty nappy.
The wipes are a good size and made of a strong but soft material.
Although the wipes are a bit more expensive in comparison to other brands (usually at around £2.50 for 63 wipes) they go further ...
Advantages: Refreshing, Smell Nice Disadvantages: Keep Them Sealed Or They Dry Up
Introduction
As a baby my son was allergic to practically everything. This culminated in him coming out in a rash all over his body as a result of using perfumed products. I had a bit of a nightmare when it came to finding baby wipes which would not irritate his skin. I tried several products available on the market to no avail. However after a lot of searching I was recommended Pamperssensitive baby wipes. I tried them and never looked back.
Product
These wipes have been developed for babies with very sensitive skin. Containing Chamomile and pure water they soothe and cleanse babys delicate skin. They have been dermatologically tested and are perfume and alcohol free. They also contain a touch of milk essentials. (I appologise not overly sure what this means). They are described as being as gentle as cotton wool and water ...
