I have just replaced my Fuji fine pix with another camera, and whilst buying my boyfriend bought himself a Lumix FS7 which I am now regretting not getting for myself. Always the way, but whenever I go shopping for something electrical, some guy in a suit always sways me towards something different. Which I should really learn from and just buy online, its usually cheaper anyway.
The Panasonic Lumix FS7 Digital camera comes in a range of different colours; it cost £130 which for a 10.1 Megapixel camera was pretty good and the deal we got meant that a free case came with it as well as an additional memory card. So there were no qualms on the price.

Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7 Disadvantages: No HD movie mode, not very cheap
The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 is a great little camera that I have used to compliment my large DSLR (a Nikon D90 I have also reviewed), which is too big and expensive to be taken everywhere.
Specification
The TZ6 is compact camera with 10.1 MP, which is plenty of pixels for all but the larger prints and harshest crops. This means that in normal conditions there will never be pixelation, in fact too many megapixels squashed onto a sensor can actually reduce the image quality. The most important feature of this camera is the 12x zoom, 25mm wide angle, Leica lens. Leica is a quality brand, and this lens is no exception, it produces quality images and the lens slides out of the camera quickly and smoothly. There is no lens cap, but slide across covers, as in most other digital compacts.

Power is supplied through the Ethernet cable, so the network camera can be easily installed and added to the ceiling and the wall, since no additional work is required for a power outlet. Camera simultaneously sends MPEG-4 images in three resolutions (VGA, QVGA, and SCIF), and JPEG images in the same three resolutions in favor motion, standard, and favor clarity image-quality types. MPEG-4 is recommended for viewing smooth motion images, and JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images. Sounds picked up by the built-in microphone can be heard through the PC. Video monitoring with sound enhances security by providing additional information that images cannot convey. This system supports HTTPS data encrypted communications. By encrypting the network camera's image and other data for network transmission, electronic eavesdropping is prevent which greatly improves security. Motion detection function detects changes by reacting to a camera threshold or sensitivity that is set in advance on the PC. Captured images can also be stored temporarily in the camera or sent to you by e-mail or FTP data transfer. While viewing MJPEG images by PC, it can play a sound to notify you when motion is detected or the external sensor is triggered. The external input port is connectable to various sensors and switches, which can be interlocked with the cameras.
