I bought this product as I travel quite a lot between cities and I often take trips overseas where I find the general viewing material is unsatisfactory.I bought this product in February of 1999 through duty free Dixons. On my return to England, I got it upgraded to play all regions discs. I am thoroughly satisfied with this product. It has a portable 5" screen which has an excellant resolution and the picture quality is very sharp. Even on the trip I was able to connect the player to large TV sets via the supplied cables and enjoy watching all the films that I had purchased.

With its in built Dolby 5.1 decoder I was able to enjoy the sound through the headphone socket more than through the attached small speakes, the sound through these is very tinny. The sound quality is even better when connected to my home AV theatre system. The sound quality is execellant.

Overall I thought that the price at that time was a bit high, £849.00 in duty free, but it was still worth every penny. Now you can purchase it for less and there are two more higher models avaiable with even more extras. This player is suited for the person who is travelling a lot through the country or is on constant trips abroad, eg, travelling sales person or business executives on overnight travels.
