Panasonic is by far one of my favourite electronic companies now and after purchasing this item it has reinforced that argument even further. Having to travel a lot on public transport over long distances can get a bit of a bore, some read a book others exhust the papers while a few gaze out of the window. Now Panasonic have managed to brighten up my life by giving me the escapism I need when travelling from dull location to another, I present the long-winded Panasonic DVDLV50EBS.
---Price---
Compared to a lot of other portable DVD's on the market this is relatively cheap clocking in at around £400 and some stores throw in a couple of free DVD's too!
---Sound/Picture Quality---
There is very little to grumble about the picture quality, the 5" display is very crisp however it could do with some a bit more range with the brightness and contrast. The sound however is a bit tinny when creeping up to maximum volume, with headphones however the sound at the upper levels is much better and there is not so much to complain about. If travelling in noisy environments (train etc) you'll probaly need the headphones anyway and it can take two pairs.
---Design---
Very compact indeed, just what you need when on the travels. The sleek metallic case is what you'd expect from this type of product and it has a functional minimalist interface (a protective case would be advise to stop any knocks on bumpy journeys). Trendy and modern it won't stand out on design alone, but will stand out simply because it is a portable DVD player.
---Conclusion---
Certainly one of the better ones on the market and with a low price this enhances its desirability even further. The battery life could be improved but will cover most DVD's lasting about 2.5 hours (some planes and trains -Virgin Intercity's I think has it - have plugs in anyway). Its certainly at the top of my portable DVD list as I know a couple of others with different brands and higher priced portable DVD's and they don't seem any better.

VERY neat, most impressive little DVD player I've ever used... (read on in review, theres too much to say.)
not brilliant base, especially at full volume(but normally I use headphones or if plugged into TV then its tv speakers that r used anyway), Battery hasn't got the longest life but it just clips on so its easy to have more than 1(easy to find on e-bay) (*)
