Nice little player, but it does seem expensive £450 it is a feature rich and easy to use player. It has a nice battery life though, this thing goes on and on, I've got nearly 11 and a half hours of playback on a cruise journey, it's got to be worth it's money just to keep me from being bored on a long dull cruise. From playing around with similar brands of protable dvd player, the majority don't last more than 3 or 4 hours. It also has a FM radio built in, crisp clear reception, even when driving along in the car, just as good as any other radio, offering 2 sets of headphone jack, it enables you to listen with a friend, so you can both watch the movie in silence! It offers a choice of 2 power options, you can use you car cigarette lighter to power it, or you can charge it up from your home power supply. It uses SD (Secure Digital) cards for storage; you can pick up a gig of SD memory for around £30 now, so there is no excuse!
Although it has the headphone sockets it does have a pair of inbuilt speakers, not bad, but not as bassy as I would have liked, but in all fairness you are never going to get good bass response from such small speakers.
It feels nice to hold, and not too heavy, but heavy enough for it to feel sturdy in your hands, I wouldn't like to drop it though, im not to sure it would survive the fall as this is quite delicate! It is designed well, ergonomic and easy to navigate.me work
Not a bad little player, although it seems expensive (£450+) it is a feature rich and easy to use player.
I first must mention the battery life, this thing goes on and on, I've got nearly 9 and a half hours of consistant playback on a plane journey, it's got to be worth it's money just to keeo me occupied on a long dull flight. From playing around with similar brands of protable dvd player, the majority don't last more than 3-4 hours.
