...I currently own this widescreen tv , i find it to a great buy as you can not only control you panasonic vcr and dvd player but also change the view mode with just one button.
It features 16.9 and 4.3 plus panasonic automatic which will hopefully change mode to program.
It is a great buy even though it size is mind blowing.
It also wieghs an aboslute ton!
But as i said earlier it is a worthwhile buy that is a great alternative to plasma and HD ready tvs.
You can pick one up quite cheaply and because it is panasonic you know you are getting a quailty product.
Not much else i can really say really appart from the weight and the size it is a great deal....

do not buy Review ofPanasonicDVD-RV31EBby

Advantages: uuuuum works for a fiew months Disadvantages: the whole product
...I purchased this DVD player and it worked great at first. Then it started freezing while playing and giving me the common H02 error (which I did not know anything about until I started browsing Amazon.com's reviews) Over 100 people have experienced this error and panasonic is not standing behind their product. Stay away. It cost as much to fix it as purchasing a new one
It apparantly has a life-span of only a year, give or take a few months. Panasonic fails to tell you this and one day you will be ready to watch a movie, put the disc in and you will see "H02". When you call customer service, they can't help you. They refer you to a Panasonic service dept. far far away and you find out that it costs more to repair than to just buy a new one. This thing is a piece of junk and I will no longer buy Panasonic products. I just wanted to write...

Advantages: Superior power (1000watts), stylish, HDMI upscaling, AV inputs Disadvantages: None
...there was no distortion just clear crisp quality sound.
The sony was close but it only has 850 watts where the Pansonic boasts a massive 1000 watts this factor sold it to me in the first place the samsung only has 800 and the phillips 600 so on power the panasonic by far
The very helpful man in currys played a dvd through them all and again the Panasonic stood out for the sharpest picture through the impressive 1080i HDMI upscaling feature, this system also has av inputs so you can watch your Sky/Virgin tv and play the sound in Surround sound even the Sony doesnt do this, the phillips does BUT can you really sacrafice a massive 400watt power loss by not having the panasonic
This will truely be the best £150-£200 you will ever spend for a complete home theatre experience trust me you will not be dissapointed, a really exciting addition to any Plasma/ LCD...

I bought this portable DVD player because I had seen positive reviews about it, and wanted to see it for myself! I'm certainly not disappointed with it and I'm glad I did buy it!

With the plethora of DVD recorders out there, and now the availability of Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, does it still make sense to buy a plain old DVD player?
If that player is the Panasonic S-33, then the answer is yes. Barring the HD formats above and SACD,... more
