...mm cine cameras from ebay to rectify this - and I still intend to use them, but they weigh far more than I remembered from my youth, which may well be a help for steady inages, but is a drawback when touring overseas, carrying the equipment with you.! And the cost of the film, when compared to the price of videotape, seems a bit prohibitive. Think £100 for twenty minutes, and you will not go far wrong.
My wife bought me the Panasonic 180 as a birthday gift, and I have to say it is a revelation. The "3CCD" imaging system is a true leap forward in home video photography. With one capture device for each of the three primary colours, the definition is greatly improved. Perhaps It is not quite up to DVD or broadcast standard, but it does not fall far short. But the really amazing thing is the totally life-like colour rendition...
