I have had my Panasonic GD87mobile for a couple of months now. I got it primarily for the camera which is built in. The picture quality is fantastic and has the largest number of colours on the display screen amongst other phones of its price range (65000 colours insteard of the usual 60000 but where you get 65000 colours from I do not know!!!).
The edit features for the photos is good, as you can set them to Black-and-White, Sepia and Monochrome. The picture can be resized, have a frame added to it and the quality of the picture can be altered for better clarity.
It is a very sturdy and robust phone (I have dropped it a few times and it just seems to bounce. All it has sustained are a couple of tiny flesh wounds). The clamshell design is tough and durable, with a reassuring click when you open it. I find the clamshell best because it stops you accidently pressing the keys or ringing the police when it's in your pocket! It also has a display screen on the outside for caller I.D, so you know who is ringing even before you open the phone. The colour of the phone is a very cool chrome.
It comes with the usual text message facilities, but you can also use MMS (to send photos to other compatible phones or e-mail), and it has an e-mail function as well. The WAP service is very good and linked via the GPRS system, so you are only charged for the size of the data (in Kb) you download, not the time you are online!
The vibrating alert is great, especially for people like me who work in an environment where you aren't supposed to have the phone switched on. It is not a lightweight buzz either no missing a call if it's noisy where you are (you get a bit of a cheap thrill if you aren't expecting it to ring!).
There are 18 Polyphonic ringtones preset to the phone, but you can download tons of others. The phone has a huge memory space for all the texts, pics, tones etc that you want to keep. It also stores up to 200 phone numbers in its memory, all of which you can set to a voice command (speak the name and it automatically rings that person).
The GD87 comes with 2 games - Tetris for all you classic games fans, and Herding Sheep, which has a cute sheepdog running around yapping at sheep, trying to get them in a pen.
The only downsides to the phone is that, firstly, it is not on Java, so you can't download new games, and secondly, the Navigation key (the bit you use to move around the menus) is a bit fiddly if you have fat fingers, long nails or if you are a bit worse for wear!
All in all, a good phone, which is compact, lightweight and very practical. I think it's the best camera phone at the moment for its features and price.

Advantages: Excellent camera, Lots of memory space Disadvantages: Breaks down - Switches itself on and off whenever it feels like, one game if you're not on orange
