Advantages: Picture Quality ,Ease of use Disadvantages: no
honest I am basically a panasonic sound system fanatic simply because I am a person to whom music means a lot, but it is also true I have an inherent weakness for the panasonic brand name itself. Although I am not a professional photographer but photography does interest me a lot and on top of that there are friends who are professionals in this field. I came across panasonic lumix dmc-tz7 through one of my friends, what attracted me was its silvery looks ..more...Image Stabilization which functions by raising the camera's sensitivity (and along with it, the noise levels) so as to achieve a higher shutter speed and reduce motion blurring. The panasonic lumix dmc-tz7 will also include face detection capable of identifying eight faces simultaneously, and will take into account the locations of detected faces when calculating autoexposure ...
I have just replaced my Fuji fine pix with another camera, and whilst buying my boyfriend bought himself a Lumix FS7 which I am now regretting not getting for myself. Always the way, but whenever I go shopping for something electrical, some guy in a suit always sways me towards something different. Which I should really learn from and just buy online, its usually cheaper anyway.
The Panasonic Lumix FS7 Digital camera comes in a range of different colours; it cost £130 which for a 10.1 Megapixel camera was pretty good and the deal we got meant that a free case came with it as well as an additional memory card. So there were no qualms on the price.
10.1 Megapixels
Right away we was impressed with the quality of the images this camera was taking, I also test the pictures out on phones and cameras by taking one scenic photo, a photo ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Panasonic Lumix FS7
Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7 Disadvantages: No HD movie mode, not very cheap
The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 is a great little camera that I have used to compliment my large DSLR (a Nikon D90 I have also reviewed), which is too big and expensive to be taken everywhere.
Specification
The TZ6 is compact camera with 10.1 MP, which is plenty of pixels for all but the larger prints and harshest crops. This means that in normal conditions there will never be pixelation, in fact too many megapixels squashed onto a sensor can actually reduce the image quality. The most important feature of this camera is the 12x zoom, 25mm wide angle, Leica lens. Leica is a quality brand, and this lens is no exception, it produces quality images and the lens slides out of the camera quickly and smoothly. There is no lens cap, but slide across covers, as in most other digital compacts.

Worldwide, there is a strong and growing trend toward large-screen, high-image-quality televisions and high-definition (HD) broadcasting. In line with this, manufacturers are transitioning to HD quality in all other types of video equipment too. Panasonic is introducing an advanced full-HD 3CCD camcorders the HDC-HS9.The HDC-HS9 offers full-HD 1920 x 1080 progressive recording to capture images with a richness and beauty simply not possible with previous consumer camcorders. Users can record motion images with the kind of film-like quality enjoyed in movies at the cinema. The 17-Mbps bit rate of the HDC-HS9 gives superb image quality and motion response, while the high compression ratio enables one full hour of recording onto a 4-GB SD Memory Card (in HX mode) at full-HD resolution. It also has new features such as Face Detection and the Intelligent Shooting Guide, which make it easier to capture mistake-free shots. It also offers Panasonic's original 3CCD camera system, Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), and a Leica Dicomar lens - three technologies that team up to deliver full-HD images of exquisite beauty. Viewed on today's high-quality large-screen TVs, video clips shot with the HDC-HS9 are simply breathtaking. The HS9 is a hybrid model that records full-HD images onto a memory card or the built-in 60GB hard disk. A 16GB SDHC memory card can hold around six hours of recorded video clips, and the 60GB hard disk can hold around 23 hours. This gives the HS9 a total capacity of around 29 hours of full-HD recording. The HS9 can copy recorded video images from the memory card to the hard disk, or vice versa, with easy operation. The HS9 also features an outstanding 5.1-channel sound system with five microphones. When you listen to recordings made with the HS9 on a good surround sound audio system, you feel as if you're right in the scene. This adds to the awesome entertainment that comes with viewing HD images on a large-screen HDTV. Users can enjoy producing and viewing their own videos with a film-like richness and levels of picture and sound quality that have simply never been attainable until now.
