The Panasonic KV-S2048C Sheetfed Color Scanner may feature a compact design, but don't let that fool you. This high-speed scanner's performance and function pack a punch. 600 dpi resolution, 200 ppm (page per minute) scanning speed, and ultrasonic double-feed detection ensure that your scanning projects get done quickly and efficiently.
Advantages: Tablet style flip screen, built in functionality Disadvantages: ???
...Well after 3 years of working with the Panasonic CF-34 as an IT consultant with manual workers from another company I finally got to produce a build and play with some Cf-18's. There are many obvious advantages this machine has over it's predecessor, namely the available built in functionality (all at a price of course) plus the ease of use for those with the larger finger.
Options include integrated GPRS / GSM slot, WiFi & Bluetooth. Previously you would have to purchase individual cards for these functions which often ends up with a small part of card sticking out of the side of the machine, or an arial in the case of the GPRS / GSM cards. Now all these functions can be integrated within the device by Panasonic. All work well too, with the exception of the GPRS signal. I don't think the arial is very strong for the GPRS signal...

Advantages: laser and duplex and compact Disadvantages: only black and white and over time develops some problems.
...The KX-P7100 made by Panasonic is a brilliant printer because it prints 14 ppm
(pages per minute) due to its laser technology and has a built in duplex system for well duplexed pages, saving money and time using only half the usual paper. But now after time the paper has began to jam, crease and fold with added lines from the toner.this may be due to the settings or it could just be general ‘wear and tear’.
For example a new toner would cost in the region of £50 and this may not even fix the problem.and if left in a cold room the paper may jam up and waste paper so it neds to be kept in a warm but not humid room(due to damness). So I think that this product would suit a office or school but not a home in a cool country or small home....

...average "hole diggers" fingers so typing may be an issue for some users. Battery life is reasonable (we got about 4 hours use from ours, and car chargers are available from panasonic to enable charging on the move.
Whilst you can drop these things on the floor and they'll probably still work, (and Panasonic claim you can drive over one with a landrover!) hard disks have had a fairly high failure rate but I guess all that banging around will upset the disk heads at some point. We have a bronze level support aggreement with Panasonic and any parts are replaced (at a premium obviously).
There were 10Gb hard drives in the earlier models (referred to as the Mark 2 by panasonic) where as the Mark 3 went to a 20Gb disk which was a bit more realistic.
Personally I wouldn't consider these unless you need them for hole digging or draft exclusion...

I bought this camera as a replacement for our "family" camera we have used my wife's old 35mm Cannon for taking holiday snaps and felt it was a good time to replace it with a digital. "We" wanted a camera with a good optical zoom, "I" wanted a camera to... more
From what i have used of the camera so far this camera will eat up any picture you want to take with it, I makes everything look so good with the massive 10x optical zoom.
The specifications are as follows:

I had been after a Digital SLR for some time, and when the opportunity arose to buy one I did just that. Well, that's not actually technically true. By rights this camera is not a digital SLR, but in fact a compact 'superzoom' camera, it looks like a... more
I treated myself to one of these cameras in the sales after Christmas. I was expecting a larger, SLR-sized camera, but was pleasantly surprised at how light and compact the camera is in reality. The quality of the lens is excellent, and good quality... more
