Full review
I'm reviewing some cordless phones which I bought earlier this year, about 3 months ago. I've had just about enough time to use them and so can give you a fair reflection on how I have found them so far.

Panasonic, Model No. KX-TGA110EX, 3 pack. Priced approx £55 from Comet.

Three cordless handsets comes in this set.

Why did I buy a cordless phone?
I was a little annoyed with being tied to the wall when I was talking on the phone. Sometimes you're talking to a friend and want a bit of peace and quiet to chat (or just to isolate yourself so that your constant and excited chatting isn't hassling your family in the living room!), or maybe you're on a call which you need to be by your computer, or you need to look at a utility bill, and you think, ah, it's just in the next room, but you have to put the phone down!

How did I choose a cordless phone that suited me?
What was really important to me, was that the cordless phone was a good size. By this, I mean a substantial size, so that I feel like I am holding a phone when I am talking on it, and not scared that if you leave it out, it might get lost under the sofa. Maybe I'm picky like this, but I didn't want a tiny, tiny cordless phone. There are others on the market, which are very small, and now, there are flip ones! Yep, phones for the landline, which look like a mobile phone. I definitely steered away from these!! As high-tech as they look, I believe in buying something to fulfil the need that you had, plus I wanted it to be of a good quality.
One really important feature which is useful and was something I wanted, was wall hooks. What do I mean? I wanted the phone cradle, which is where you sit the phone to recharge it, to be wall mountable. I'm a woman who thinks of everything, right!! :o). Surely, these cordless phones have this - both on the main unit, and the two accompanying units for the 2nd and 3rd phones!! There are little 'hookable' holes on the back of the charging units, which mean if you put two screws in the wall, you can hang up the units!! This is great, say if you haven't got much room, or you want to keep this electrical out of the way in the kitchen and up on the wall.

I also wanted a silver phone, plus I wanted about 3 handsets. This phone comes in 1, 2, 3 and 4 sets. I decided on three when I did buy them.

How does it look?
This phone is pleasant looking. It's silver, with a competent sized screen. I've measured the cordless phone with a ruler, and the dimensions are approximately 14cm tall x 4cm wide x 3cm deep. The phone is slimmer at the middle of it, on either side of the keypad, and gets slightly wider as you get to the top of the phone. This makes it ergonomically comfortable to use, when you are holding it to dial a number, or holding it to your ear and talking into it. The screen is lit by an orange light when it's on, and measures about 3.5 x 2cm in size.

How does it work?
I didn't want a cordless phone that need programming. This phone has been straightforward to use. When I got it home, I flicked through the helpful manual, and plugged all three phones in, and when they were ready to use (charge up the phones fully to enable the longest-possible battery life, it helpfully says this on the front of the instruction manual), there were no complications. The phones didn't need programming.

~There's a phonebook facility which holds up to 50 telephone numbers

~Standby time is about 120 hours

~Talk time is about 10 hours. Not that I have talked on the phone non-stop for THAT long! Battery life, is good though.

~Ringtones - 20 choose from. I prefer a standard sounding telephone ring, and I've found a decent ringtone. However if you are more experimental, you will find a ringtone that you like!! The problem will probably be agreeing with you family on which one to use!!

~Volume: 6 settings, and OFF also. I've found you can set each handset to it's own volume, and this is handy.

In-call volume: an advantage over conventional corded phones, is that you can change the volume of the in-call voice in the earpiece.

Would I recommend it?
This is a good phone, and I haven't got any big complaints yet! I'll let you in on something though. I was a little annoyed with myself for choosing Panasonic again, because we have a telephone fax machine at home, which we had some problems with. So I was scared that I would get problems with this Panasonic product, because it was the same company. The in-call sound quality wasn't clear when we first used the phone, and I have realised that if you lower the incall volume a notch or two, the sound is clearer, and doesn't compromise hearing the voice on the other end well. I want to point out that the ringing volume is fantastic on this phone - very loud if you want it to be, so great if you might be far away from the phone at one time. You will definitely hear it ring!!

Hope this review has been helpful.
