I am not a professional photographer, and have only ever used point and shoot digital and 35 mm cameras. But I wanted as much zoom as possible as when on holiday I like taking scenerary and buildings. Also it was not worth upgrading unless I went for more than 5 megapixal. This camera had has it all, 12x opitcal zoom and 8 megapixals, and it makes a difference.
There was no camera shake when out in the open where the wind can catch you. The pictures print without any visible dots and you woudl think using a reasonable price colour laser it was professionally printed.
Zooming in brought an object close to hand abd was christal clear.
If you turn off the shutter noise you could probably get away with taking pictures in buildings that have no photography sign. I took the inside of some building without turning on the and they were very good, only one did I have to enhance when I got home, to bring out all hte colour and detail.
There is a cleaver twist you can do to the screen so that you can have the camera pinoting up and you can look down onto the screen to see what you are taking.
The only drawback is that with an SLR you look through the lence and see if your thumb is in hte way, but then you have to know how to use f numbers and shurtter speeds.
If you can make use of these mysteries you can set the programme to manual based on lence or shutter and some other variables that I do not understand.

This camera feels and looks like a professional peice of kit and give equally good results

Your review is good but could do with a bit more information, what shooting modes does it have, what memory does it take, what file formats does it support, that sort of thing. Cheers
