I'm a complete novice and had it figured out really quickly. I love the size which is perfect for holding and the appearance gives the impression of high quality. It couldn't be easier to upload the photo's onto the PC too!! ... more

The zoom works fantastically as does the auto focus, it's the kind of camera that gives the impression you have been doing photography for years when you see the photo's. I'm a complete novice and had it figured out really quickly. I love the size which is perfect for holding and the appearance gives the impression of high quality. It couldn't be easier to upload the photo's onto the PC too!!

...III is traditionally used by Panasonic and is a wonderful image processing engine that, in my opinion, is flawless. The camera has Intelligent ISO Control and achieves ISO 1250 at full resolution.
4. Durability/Indestructibility
I was using this camera when I was on holiday in spain, dropped it down a (smallish) rocky cliff and it didn't break. I'm sure that can be counted as durable. It barely even scratched. I'm a clumsy sort of guy and if an ... ...for that.
5. Usability
The screen on this camera is about 6cm (2.5 inches) diagonally, and the menus are very easily navigated, the on button is easy to find (that's more important than it sounds) and don't forget the processing bit - hooking it up to a pc and transferring the images could'nt really be easier.
All in all, this camera is an astounding, high quality, everything proof and impressive device that I recommend to any level of camera ...

Advantages: Face detection, great look, high quality photos. Disadvantages: Little memory, could have higher pixel count.
The Panasonic Lumix camera is a truly wonderful piece of hardware. The whole camera is a masterpiece. It has 7.2 megapixels inside of it working with a superb 3x optical zoom. The display on the camera is just as good. It is an LCD screen but does make the pictures look worse than they acctually do (if you look at pictures of yourself on this camera it truly does destroy your self esteme, but that just shows how detailed the pictures are). The camera ... ...strap so if your one of those people who have a tendice to drop things, you wont drop this. The face detection system is pretty awsome, I have taken a photo of about 15 faces before and it picked up all of them with there own focus square which makes any group photo look as good as any proffesional one. As you can see by the picture the design is pretty dam sexy, the black one is much nicer than the the silver one. I wouldnt reccomend this camera ...

I paid one hundred Pounds for this camera, which I considered to be a good bargain.
Within two hours of charging the camera's battery the camera delivered good quality clear images. The Liquid Crystal Display is a bit small and also the Internal Memory is slightly limited. So therefore a additional add on is going to be needed by buying a one or two giga byte Memory Card, which costs about fifteen to twenty Pounds. The camera contains a playback ... ...have previously been captured, and easy navigation back to the pictures that were previously captured.
When the camera is in simple mode the quality of the Pictures are not so high when the camera is being used. The camera has built in flash, and a red eye and also the user has the ability to turn the flash off if needed. Also there is a light scene feature that allows the user to take shots dependant on light conditions. There is a Sun, Cloudy, ...

Off the bat, this is a great little camera. I've owned it now for a year and a half and it has travelled with me everywhere and has taken some wonderful pictures (yes that's right, the camera took them, not me!!!). Firstly, it is wonderfully compact and at a reasonable price. It's features are very simple and easy to use. It has the standard wheel to select the mode you want it in and simple navigation buttons on the back. Given it's compact size ... ...to a large enough screen. This camera comes equip with a classic Leica lens that offers wonderful clarity and I think may be one of the best around for this type of camera. It also offers up to 800 ISO. Although not as high as some on the market it is reasonable enough to shoot in gloomy conditions without the need for a flash.
