Advantages: small light good overall performance. a good buy for family shots and days out. Disadvantages: a little slow to start up high noise levels on large prints.

1> Looks and feel
well it is mainly impressive in this department very sturdy feel to it for such a small camera. the one i had, a two tone finish, was mainly matt with a mirror finish around the top etc.
the problem i had here is that i have large hands and the buttons ... ...use.
2> functions
the flash first off is very descent for a small camera, but i wonder when the companies that create these will put a good quality flash on these so they work at a good distance (over 5m) would be good.
due to the very small button i did not mess around to much in the menus but did not look like there was much in there so mainly automatic settings (point and shoot).

3> picture quality
on the whole picture quality was not too bad at all good colour definition very good at portrait work. there is a fairly high amount of noise (that's fuzz to most) when you look closer but not really a problem unless you try to make the pictures big. there is a large selection of scene modes which is good for easy set up. seems to be the theme with this camera, no bad thing for most. For me not enough manual settings
4> performance
seems a little slow to get going from off. takes about 4 seconds to be able to take your first picture I am not happy with this. then the burst shoot mode there are 2 versions of this one takes about 4 pictures in just over a second the other takes 2 pictures per second and goes on for a long time it will take plenty. I was very impressed with that part of the camera. very impressed with that.
Overall a very descent little camera very easy to use and you will always get descent snapshots.
Advantages: Small size and great shots on the move Disadvantages: None really
Love this product and cannot go on about it enough - have used it almost everyday. The build quality is superb and it really feels that it has been put together well. Battery life is great and you will get the whole day out of it easily, I always buy a spare just in case. Memory size is ok, so you will need to buy another memory card to go with it but that is just normal with these cameras. It also features a very simple autofocus function so you ... ...with a load of blurred photos at the end of the week when you come to review them! Would recommend getting the extras with it though - try and get a tripod and a carry case that you can put on your belt or round your neck - if you just put it in your handbag or whatever, you might not be able to get it out in time ti take those very quick shots as something unfolds. ...

Advantages: sleek, elegant, sharp, attractive Disadvantages: picture quality is not that good
Panasonic has dissappointed us with this product of theirs. It Simply doesnt look to be Panasonic. I have used many 8 mega pixel cameras and this seems to be the worst one. But if you go for the looks and easy handling camera than you could have this as your choice. It has a stylish slim compact body and a wide angle Leica DC lens that can fit a wide image, but you can get this better with a Sony cybershot photography camera, but the cybershot wont ... ...must say. It attracts you the moment you see it. A big Lcd adds to the looks. But if Panasonic works on the function aswell as the form, then i suppose there is going to be nothing like this. To people who wana buy this, i would recommend a Cybershot ...

Advantages: Appearence, efficiency, battery power Disadvantages: Small dial and sometimes not straight forward settings.
I got this camera for christmas a year ago and as somebody not particularly technilogically competant, I find it extremely easy to use. I have experimented with the different settings available (such as soft skin, party, landscape) and find that some of them produce excellent photos. In fact amongst my friends I'm know for having a very flattering camera!
I find that the battery last a long time also, if i go out I tend to take about 30 photos and ... ...screen on the camera is quite large so its easy to see the pictures just taken.
The only downside I would say about this camera is I find the dial to select the mode quite small and a bit fiddily. Other than that I would reccommend this camera, it is efficient and easy to use, plus It looks ncie and fits easily in my pocket. ...

...around £50.00 for. whilst panasonic is certainly a leading name in electronics, Lieca is a leading name in optics. A marrige of the two has shown itself to be completely lacking in both. quite frankly, for taking half decent pictures look elesewhere. My money was wsted on this purchase.
I have a cheap 6m Kodak DX 7630 which produces far better pictures, under all conditions.
Be advised, do not buy this camera, steer well clear of Lumix if you like ...
