It seems this is a bit of a marmite camera- either you love it or you hate it. Well I LOVE IT. bought for me as a 40th birthday present by my wife. having worked in the camera industry for over 16 years, I knew of Panasonics marriage with Leica, and always found them to be perfect partners. And I was not dissapointed this time either. Once again they have not let the side down. My FX33 goes everywhere with me, and alongside my trusty OM1n and my Bronica ETRSi on days out and about. AND YES i am very pleased with the results, it does exactly what I expect it to do, and then some. OK its not up to the standards of 6x45 slide film, but it certainly does well enough when I need that quick record shot. Great edge to edge sharpness, spot on focusing. Probably its only downfall is the flash, some times seems a little too sensitive. I would not hesitate to recomend it to friends, whatever their photographic experiance, just remember it is only a compact Digital Camers not a full system DSLR.
