The FX60 is the smallest of the Panasonic Lumix range, but this doesn't mean that it lacks in quality and features.

It has 12 megapixels with a 5x optical zoom, which for the size of the camera is impressive. It uses the famous Leica lens ensuring for good quality pictures.

The quality can be near SLR standard at times, with pictures being very detailed on highest settings.

It boasts a number of features, one in particularly good which is the AF (Auto-Focus) feature. This feature gives you the ability to lock on to a target n still keep the focus on the subject even when you move the camera. Perfect for trying to keep the focus on a moving object.

The camera body is fairly strong, with the camera feeling sturdy in a matted finish. The metallic violet finish seems a bit weaker in comparison.

The camera itself is pretty simple to use. Basic functions are one touch operations, with other functions not taking too much effort to take advantage of. Flash, self-timer and even the AF function are all accessible from photo mode so you don't have to go through the menu.

I recommend this camera, to someone who wants good quality photos for everyday situations. It is a great small alternative to a bulky SLR, giving you some good pictures with a camera that can be slipped into your pocket. You won't get the same effect in terms of zoom, but you won't be disappointed with the pictures either.
