I love this digital camera, it is the best camera that i have ever used, it takes extremley clear pictures. It is very easy to use, even for a beginner like me. I used to have a Kodak easyshare, but i found it did not take very good pictures, and didnt have a very large memory.
Although this camera dosnt have an internal memory, it does come supplied with a small memory card (16mb - holds about 4/5 pictures at the best quality), which i upgraded to a bigger one. Picture sizes are large, and do take a while to email, but dont take long to upload to the computer.
The pop up flash is very effective, although i dont like the way it pops up, slightly worried that over time this may break. It also includes a red eye reduction which makes a lot of difference to pictures, i always used to get red eyes whenever i used a camera, even if it does have a red eye reduction, but this is the first one that i have found that actually works.
I also like the fact that you can recharge the battery, which seems to last for quite a long time (a lot longer than replaceing the batteries every time)
Modes:- Portrait Indoor night portrait scenery fireworks night scene, panning, sport, snow, high sensitivity, baby plus this has a movie feature ( i have not used this yet, but over time i will)
The software that comes with it is very easy to install and use, and does not take a lot of memory on the computer. The software is not necessary to install, as using the standard Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard will transfer the pictures just as easily.
The 12 times zoom is very clear and compact. I love the fact that you can switch between the large lcd screen and the normal viewfinder.
I bought this for £160, and it has been worth every penny.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
(+) Ultra-compact dimensions, fun automatic tools, good performance for the asking price (-) Cluttered menu layout, camera buttons are scarce, specs are almost identical to the Samsung ES15
You could have added a few more details, for instance what size memory card comes with the camera and what settings the camera has (scene modes and so on, the manual will say) but otherwise its a good basic review

Advantages: Good quality optical zoom, light weight, pleasant and easy to use, excelent stabilization system Disadvantages: "Grainy" images when using ISO 200 or ISO 400, 6MP is a bit too few when printing large sized pictures.

Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7
Advantages: Takes fantastic pictures at basic level and for more advanced photographers. Disadvantages: Slightly large for carrying around constantly, but worth it for picture quality.
