Superb lens coupled to fast response results in a very usable camera.
I have been a 35mm SLR user for may years and while I liked the idea of digital cameras the limitations on the optics for anything affordable meant I just could not justify going to digital.Along came Panasonic with the FZ7 at a price I can afford and no looking back. I can't afford a digital SLR but this is the next best thing. The lens is fantastic and the stabilisation works really well.
i have noticed slight purple fringing at high zoom and some noise at high ISO settings but not really apparent unless you know what it is in the first place!Picture quality is excellent. Menus are intuitive and easy to find your way around.
Battery life is excellent - a good thing given the proprietary Lion format - no chucking a pair of AA's in when it is flat.Comes with a lens tube and petal hood. The tube can be used to mount filters.
Conclusion.
