Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1

I am going to holiday next week today on the 25th May and therefore I especially ordered this Panasonic Lumix GH1 from Amazon for 904 pounds (after discounted). I placed the order last Friday and it arrived this morning Wednesday. Very efficient. Me and my husband were so excited about it. We opened the box and glanced through the instructions as soon as we can. We already started charging up the camera at the same time. After an hour or two, the camera already ready to take its first photo. We rushed out to town and started taking photos with this new baby. Nice ^_^

*** Picture quality
We went back home around 3 pm and put the memory card striaght into the memory card slot onto our Panasonic plasma TV and started watching the slide show. The picture quality is very good when compare to my old ones. Even both of us are no good in taking photos, we still managed to get some brilliant shots after using this camera. However we both think we need to purchase a filter. This is because, just like other cameras, you can still see the reflection from the window when you are trying to take a shot of the shops.

Then we switched to watch the AV videos that we took. It is also really clear and no blur. Colour also very defined. This is actually not what I expected. I had a camrecorder 2 years ago and it was absolutely disaster. Therefore I was thinking this GH1 will be the same. Unexpectedly it is not !

*** Ease of use
A friend of us asked that why not choose those slim, compact auto cameras like Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W320. We just replied her that this Panasonic GH1 is amazingly easy to use and handle. It is light and handy. Great pictures and AVs.

*** Good Value?
Undoubtedly, this GH1 is value for money. Unlike the G1 model, GH1 is couple hundreds pounds more expensive, but GH1 can record AV video. Great picture quality, easy to use, small and trendy design.

If you want other people have this feeling about you, then this GH1 is the right choice for you. GH1 is ultimately designed. You do not need to spend thoudsands and thoudsands pounds but you can still get this experience, isn't it worth it?

*** Reliability & Durability & CD Rom
Not sure yet, just got it for one day. Will update this and more later after holiday ^_^

G1 model is discounting in the market at the moment because the G2, the next model up, is coming into the market soon. However it is still unknown, in my own research, when the next model up for GH1 is coming. Therefore I still think at this price 904 pounds (after 10% discount), it worths every penny.

As a result, I will highly recommend this Panasonic Lumix GH1 to my friends and family.
