This is not the most attractive digital camera I have seen and ours did not come with a carry case! I have however since seen deals on the internet which includes a case so it will be worth looking around. The camera itself was bought online from Panasonic direct for £149.99. We subsequently bought a case for £6 which, although not branded Panasonic, was perfectly adequate and in fact looks good.
The picture is 4.0 mega pixels which gives an outstanding quality. Whilst we are not professional photographers, we have had a number of ‘average’ household digital cameras which, irrespective of the granular definition chosen, come no where near to this sharpness and definition, but which at the time were in the same price bracket. The camera was very easy to set up with a very good and easy to follow manual and easy controls on the camera itself. It comes as basic with a 16 Mb capacity for approx 12 to 16 photos
(depending on the granularity setting chosen) which we upgraded to 256 Mb which allows for approx 145 pictures at excellent granularity for extra sharpness, for an additional £50. The first pictures were loaded onto our computer and viewed quickly and easily
The camera provides a 3 times optical zoom with in addition a digital zoom of 3 times which gives a total magnification of 9 times. It also provides for specific and separate magnification of a particular area of the photograph. It has nickel-metal hydride batteries which I had been informed gave a better than average performance. The manual suggests that it should be sufficient for 320 pictures which has been perfectly adequate for our 'family' use.

I have reread it but I would much rather see more of your personal opinion on this camera rather than a long list of what it does/specifications. Lexy
