    I've owned digital cameras now for about 10 years, and have got through a few in that time. The last one I bought for myself was a Panasonic DMC-LZ7, which I have owned for four years now. This camera could be considered dated now but as it has served me so well in those four years I haven't felt the need to replace it in that period.     My parents bought this camera about 2 weeks ago after seeing the ad on the tv. It cost about £125 from amazon, with free delivery, but I haven't really had a proper look around the market and you will probably be able to find it cheaper on ebay. It is a seven megapixel camera with six times optical zoom, so you get a lot of zoom for your money compared to similar digital 'point and shoot' cameras on the market.     I had difficulty in tracking down the Black version of this camera, but eventually managed via a private seller. However Amazon UK have them now. This is a great camera with many many features that even the more advanced photographer can make use of. Compact and light, the controls are fairly standard to most conventional digicams other than the slim versions on the market now. Firstly I recommend that anyone buying this camera sets up the White Balance as in the instructions. This involves pointing the camera at a white piece of paper.
