Like all point and shoot cameras the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 has it's limitations, but in my opinion that is a good selling point. As a professional photographer I sometimes need the simplicity of a P&S to help capture a moment without over complicating it with loads of hi-tec equipment.

The DCM-TZ3 is one of the easiest cameras I have ever used and the image quality is easily good enough for anything the home user would need and more. I took one of these on a trip to South America recently and I'm earning money from those picures already.

The 7.2 megapixel sensor means you can print up to poster size photos with good definition and the X10 zoom lens is remarkable for a camera that can still fit in your pocket. The dials are dead easy to use and it also has video with sound.

Yes it's a little heavy, but this is due to a good build quality and lots of glass to achive a X10 zoom lens. A huge 3" screen on the back is both a positive and a negative feature as it's great for viewing your shots, but can be a bit thirsty on battery power as a result. So buy a spare battery.
