I used to have the TZ5 and i must say the TZ6 is a great improvement. There's a 12x, 25-300mm optical zoom lens, both wider and longer than the TZ5’s. Also the megapixels have increased from 9 to 10. Also the 720p HD video mode is recorded using the new AVCHD Lite format which almost doubles the recording time. This will come in very handy especially when going on holiday or days out. Also when recording, there is a new feature which cuts out very backgroug noise.
I also found that the quality of the video is brilliant. There is no freezing or jumping. The quality of the pictures are also very good. Just so clear with bright vivid colours. In addition the camera screen its self is good. A nice size and a good quality picture.
disadvantages
I think the camera could be improved by being made to look more attractive. Maybe in more colours. Also it isn't exactly the smallest camera. Finally i found that when looking through picutes videos etc it sometimes freezes.
Some really good points made. Just remember that most of us don't know what the previous model was like, so we need a bit more information on all this camera's features. :-)
