Advantages: Bagless, easy to store, extending hose
Disadvantages: Can be a bit messy when emptying 'dustbin'

...I bought this vacuum cleaner about 4 months ago when we got a new addition to the family - a cat! Our previous vacuum cleaner was one of these that cost about £40, and although it seemed to work ok, I was never convinced it got all the dirt! I was attracted to this vacuum cleaner for two main reasons: (1) 2000 watts power (2) HEPA filtration For £130, you get 2000 watts which seemed to be about the best you can get. You also get Hepa Filtration which was an added bonus soon as my partner was allergic to my cat! Advantages: compact, lightweight, cable is stored inside
Disadvantages: too lightweight, hoses jam together, tube keeps twisting

...I bought a new cylinder Panasonic because I was so pleased with my last one which finally gave up. This one unfortunately isn't a patch on the old one. The hoses are metal instead of plastic and jam together so as you have to rench them apart (if you have the strength). The hose is not flexible enough and you spend time twisting it round in the right direction. It is so lightweight that it is forever tipping upside down as you pull it along. The tools especially the brush are very poor quality compared the old Panasonic. The hook on the back where you hook the hose and brush is too near the base and keeps catching on the floor....
