Advantages: Very compact and nifty, lots of interesting buttons Disadvantages: Tends to get a dodgy picture when first switched on
I've enjoyed using this camera, it fits in my handbag and I can use it in the dark, back-to-front, while holding a baby. It has lots of fun features which you don't use that often but when you do it looks really professional, and most of all it is small and unobstrusive and you don't feel like a tourist using it.
The stripes when you first switch it on go away after a few seconds and don't show up when you play back, but it's a bit annoying. I don't ... ...have been told to only use it in SP, but in this case why does it have LP at all? I don't believe the heads could be dirty after a month. But that is more a complaint with my individual camera and the repairs department.
In spite of all that, though, I still recommend this camera, which is the kind you would buy if you just want something small and reasonably priced (around £500). It doesn't have a card but can be attached via a firewire.

Advantages: easy to use ,good battery life Disadvantages: No scart lead supplied
Having never had a digital camcorder before i was a bit bemused by the number of different models out there.Having checked a few web reviews and visiting several high steet stores i chose the nvds60 mainly because of it,s size and price (£450) including starter pack with extended life battery.
When igot it home iwas amazed at how quickley i got it set up and the battery charged. The functions are all very easy to use and the instruction manual simple ... ...very easy to use ,however no scart lead connector for my vcr was supplied so i had to make another trip to the shops.
my prvieous camcorder was a hi 8 one and about 4 times the size with a black and white viewfinder . So this one was great to use and the couler lcd screen was great and can be turned round so you can film yourself.
i have filmed several childrens birthday parties with it and even my 5 year old son has got the hang of it .
I would ...

Advantages: cheap, easy to use Disadvantages: uses lots of battery power
This camcorder is extremely easy to use but the quality isn’t too good. it is perfect for filming weddings, birthdays etc but nothing more pro. The night view isn’t too good either. Image stabilizer, optical zoom, DV Out, AV Output, built in light everything is excellent. Small size is an advantage. it is perfect to take on holiday with you etc. there is also digital still shot mode.
These are the features for this camcorder
1/6"800,000 pixel CCD ... ...Super image stabilizer 1.5 sec quick start 2.5 LCD monitor (112K) colour night view (not very good)
DV output Built in LCD light Zoom microphone Progressive photo shoot colour: silver
I would strongly recommend to this to everyone whose interested in camcording.
Pricing- anywhere between £300 to £350 depending on where you go. ...
