I've enjoyed using this camera, it fits in my handbag and I can use it in the dark, back-to-front, while holding a baby. It has lots of fun features which you don't use that often but when you do it looks really professional, and most of all it is small and unobstrusive and you don't feel like a tourist using it. The stripes when you first switch it on go away after a few seconds and don't show up when you play back, but it's a bit annoying. I don't know whether this is normal or just my camera. I have been told to only use it in SP, but in this case why does it have LP at all? I don't believe the heads could be dirty after a month. But that is more a complaint with my individual camera and the repairs department. In spite of all that, though, I still recommend this camera, which is the kind you would buy if you just want something small and reasonably priced (around £500). It doesn't have a card but can be attached via a firewire. One thing I love is the zoom, which goes up to x500 and can work with the nightlight to capture distant scenes in the dark as if they were in daylight. Obviously you need a tripod for this kind of filming, but it's a good feature. All the buttons are easily reachable when your hand is in the strap, and the menu is easily accessible and quick to use. There is no complicated gadgetry and the manual is easy to understand, so the special features aren't just for technogeniuses, and I mastered them all in no time at all (which is rare for me!).
I agree with the guys below. No technical spiel which can be a little off putting when you are reading the review. However, it would have been better if you could have provided a link of some kind where people could find the technical spiel. Alternatively you could write the technical stuff seperately so that the review doesnt mangle in to one boring review. I dont know... If you ever edit the review, give me a buzz and I`ll change my op.

like your review, short and sharp to the point. Some reviews go on forever and I think there should be a max. on words used. Well done.
