I am using this camera to video a fictional crime scene - an assignment. And having never using a video camera before i was dreading even touching it incase i done something wrong.
The Packaging
before i purchased my camera I read through the packaging to find out all the features which were included, and i personally really liked how the packaging was layed out. It was not cluttered with text and pictures, everything was well layed out and structured. A Blue & White background with black and white text. A picture of the camera was also there and a list of accessories.
Looking at the packaging, made me feel confident and wanting to puchase IT. Packaging that is cluttered with text, no one will want to read it or even look at it cause its just too much, so panasonic got my attention and got the sale.
The Look of the Camera
The camera was silver in colour with a faded black surround and a rubber eye area where you look through. it has an on and off button and photoshoot mode, quick start button and a volume control slider - these are the main controls on the outside of the camera.
Thankfully it was all easy to understand as they all had labels to tell me what each thing did. Or else my poor manual would be in shreads searching through everything. Also on the camera itself there are labels through telling you the zoom quality.
When you open the flap, this is the window where you can view your video, there is a range of menu buttons, these buttons help you control your video. These Are:
Play, Enter, Fast Forward, Rewind, Stop, Pause. Backlight, Light, Rec Review, Colour Night Review Softy Skin, Multi/P-IN-P, Menu and fade. Also a slide function for auto or manual focus.
Filming Using thre Camera
When i was filming using my camera, i found it was great quality, the picture was brilliant, i was very happy with it. To film all you have to do is to set the sheet mode to the video symbol and remove the lens cap, and press record simple as that, and the stop button to stop. Like using a video player, but on a hand help camera.
Taking Photos using the Camera
Taking photos is similar: all you do is remove the lens cap, select the Play button on photoshoot area, and take the picture. The phots are also great quality, there was me thinking my phone was good quality at 1.4 pixels
The battery Life
The battery life is ok, i personally think it dies way to fast. you have to charge after each period of recording, if you charge it in full before you start filming i would say you could have up to an hours ilming then it would have to recharged. Beware--- if the battery gets very low the picture can get a little fuzzy and if it the camera gets any way dirty it can highly deteriorate your filming and quality. so be warned.
The sound
The sound is brilliant, can pick up the slightest sounds recorded , very loud when playing. Very very good.

I personally really enjoyed working with this camera, i thought it was great quality, excellent filming. Everything was easily understood and easy to find. Highly recommended to buyers. Can more than likely be purchased from most Electromic stores.
