Ive owned this from new which means i have probably had it for almost 8 years or so and in this time it has never let me down.
It is black in colour so matches my black panasonic tv i bought it to be used with. It is a NICAM vcr so when i play videos which have digital surround sound it sounds great as i have it all wired through my hifi surround sound system.
It still records and plays back as well as the day it was bought.
In the box you get the VCR itself, a manual, a coaxial cable, aremote contro with batteries and a manual. I have it attached to my home entertainment system via a scart cable into the back of my digital freeview box then from there to the back of the tv.
Having it attached to the freeview box means that you receive digital tv for recording and as its NICAM you get great sound and vision. Set up is plug and play, just connect it all up and turn the power on, the clock automatically sets and it tunes itself. Select AV on the tv and you should be able to put a VCR cassette in press play and see the images on screen. Just make sure you dont play a blank tape.
If you have a Panasonic tv the remote control from both the tv and vcr will work on both tv and vcr. Just flick the switch to vcr or tv on certain remote controls depending on the tv model.
I thoroughly recommend this VCR which you may be able to buy cheap now as most people have gone down the route of recording onto DVD's or onto hard drives.
