Panasonic RX D 21

Advantages: Records FreeView Channels and still watch Freeview on your set top box or Cable
Disadvantages: Its not one of the smallest DVD recorder or Player ever made

...The Panasonic DVD recorder is easy to set up. It took about 5 minutes to get it up and running which is great for those people who have problems setting up electronic equipment. I brought this model of DVD recorder was because it allowed you to record from freeview, and watch another freeview channel, as I always had to watch the same channel that I was recording but now this is a thing of a past. I find basic operation is simple to use. But I would say that the menus could do with being more simplified. So if you are scared of computers this may not be the one for you. I brought this DVD recorder to replace an old panasonic VCR. I found the transistion from panasonic DVD recorder from VCR very easy as all the programing is done the same. I do like the guide button. Advantages: Lightweight, clear display.battery operation, FM band facillity in the event of DAB being unavailable.
Disadvantages: Reception very position dependent, flimsy construction, terrible tinny sound on DAB NO BASS

Another advantage is that DAB enables a greter use of bandwidth, a term used to describe how much 'signal' or information can be transmitted at one time.As DAB is much more efficient than the older FM etc it has led to a rush of new radio stations such as Planet Rock, Virgin etc all in glorious digital sound. So there was the incentive for me to purchase a new DAB radio in the form of this Panasonic RF-D1. Now Panasonic are a very trusted brand in my household-having owned a £1000 (yes that right..) S-VHS VCR, a 1600w Vacuum cleaner, my parents owning a VCR and an £800 28" TV (still going strong after ten years), I didn't really feel I could go wrong... Advantages: Brill picture, brill sound. Flat as a pancake.

Neither had I, it is simply a piece of software, which will enable you to use just one single remote control, to operate anything connected to your TV, all equipment has of course to be made by Panasonic! Connectivity is everything, This includes Scart, Component, PC and HDMI terminals to allow connection to all technology we have now, as well as for the foreseeable future. The list of things I have not even started to understand, includes advanced 3D colour management, digital optimiser, motion pattern noise reduction and sub-pixel controller, everything but a teasmade then! Sound. OK the sound is very very much up to you, there are so many different settings you would need to read up before even attempting... Read review
