We bought a really good 52\" LCD TV, but the sound was average and so decided to buy this system to improve it. Once installed, the difference is amazing! There are 2 front speakers, 2 rear speakers, 1 centre speaker and a subwoofer. Each speaker is very stylish and unobtrusive, the centre speaker (mainly for vocal) is small and the subwoofer is small and stylish,which means that this system enhances the furniture in your living room, rather than overshadows it. The system incorporates a radio , DVD+R (&DVD+RW) playback and CD player. The clarity of sound is not compromised, as it has a digital amplifier and it has HDMI upscaling, which means that ordinary (not HD) DVDs play back in high definition quality, plus the Progressive Scan feature means that DVD playbacks are clearer and sharper. There is a USB connection, so that music stored on a computer can be played through this system. All in all, we have not looked back since we bought this wonderful piece of equipment. It truly is like sitting in a cinema (but with more comfortable seats and surroundings!).
