Has a 30x optical zoom, so can get all the best shots, no matter where you are, and has a flip out lcd screen which turns all ... ...of the camera, or set out to the side depending on where you are shooting from. Even allows self videoing with full view of yourself.
Battery usually lasts me around 3 and half hours, and mini dvds can be bought in all different time amounts for this camera.

Panasonic is introducing a series of new DVD video cameras that support a wide range of DVD recording media. The series includes the VDR-D160 as well, which is a compact model that attaches importance to the reduction of weight, thus completing a full line-up of DVD video cameras satisfying a variety of needs. Furthermore, in addition to conventional DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, and DVD-R recording media, the new digital video cameras support dual layer (DL) DVD-R discs with a storage capacity of 2.6GB, thus overwhelmingly excelling conventional single layer DVD-R discs with a storage capacity of 1.4GB and making the new models much more user-friendly than conventional models.
