    Advantages Advantages Great value, good picture and stereo sound quality, huge screen

    Please note that the Panasonic television reviewed in this atricle is actually the:-TH42PX80B, and so the specification may be a little different to the own shown on Ciao for the product. However the Ciao site would not let me add the product in this review so I have picked the nearest code, hoping that this review will still be helpful to the consumer. * A little background to the purchase.........     Advantages Advantages Amazing quality images, lots of features, looks great.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages We weren't quite ready to pay out for a new TV.

    My fiancé and I have been wanting a plasma TV for a while now... more so for vanity than as a necessity as our 32 inch sharp CRT TV was working perfectly fine and as we have so much other stuff to pay for (decorating things for the house like a new bathroom suite, tiles, carpet for the stairs, landing and bedrooms etc as the list goes on and on plus trying to save up to get married without having to get into loads of debt) so to me, buying a new TV wasn't really top of our priorities list; although my fiancé was desperate to get one.     The Panasonic Viera is truly a great TV, and as usual, I had looked around many review websites before I finally settled on this product. It really is 42 inches of viewing pleasure, especially with it being 1080p, which really gives a crisp and clear picture. For all the techies out there who love the specifications, it comes with 2 scart inputs and 3 HDMI inputs and a contrast ratio of 30000:1 which makes it ideal for those that like to hook their xBox up to the television.     Plasma tvs give a forgiving picture on standard definition signals and are excellent for showing fast movement due to the fast response times (0.001ms in this model - average of 8ms for an LCD). This tv is excellent as they can be picked up fairly cheaply at the moment in comparison to its the more advanced 42" the 42PZ81 (freesat tv), as it doesnt compromise too much. Obviously it doesnt have the freesat built in, and it has the standard 100hz rather that the 100hz with intelligent frame creation but see the impressive picture on this tv next to the poor ... more

    Panasonic 42 Inch Plasma - Live without it? What life! Well we needed a new TV since our 14 year old Sony 20inch seemed to be dieing and so we began the long an arduous journey of 'Time for a new TV'. It took a while to decide whether to get an LCD or Plasma and well having gone everywhere, literally, I'm glad to have the plasma (Dark colours look better and no blurring, unlike a lot of LCD's). Also we were set on getting a 42inch because with all the lads round playing Guitar Hero World Tour we couldn't have anything less.
