Where to begin with this TV? Having owned a number of Panasonic Viera TV's in the past (my current TV is the very model I'm reviewing) I can tell you that I'm a little bitt of a Panasonic connosieur.

We'll start with the picture. As with all Panasonic Viera TV's this one carries a stunning display with an excellent contrast between light and dark colours, quite often on TV's (especially of this size) black becomes charcoal and white becomes light grey. Not so with this set, the colours are very solid and vibrant and separation between the colours is excellent. Images are sharp and crisp and bluray movies look outstanding on this display (I tested Star Trek which looked amazing), sometimes on larger TV's when you're watching a fast moving image you can get a blurring effect but motion was so fluid on this TV I really could not fault the display at all.

The sound is very good and never suffers from any feedback issues and is always very clear, I did find however that the volume was quite low and that I had to turn it up to about 70% just to hear speech on quiet films (tested using Up in the Air).

In my opinion it was very easy to set up and was very user friendly for beginners, my 17 year old brother managed to set it up with no issues at all. If you're the type that likes to customise and adjust many of the picture and sound settings then sadly the options are a little limited though there is still some control.

The remote control was easy to navigate and everybody that has picked up my remote has managed to use it without me having to explain anything to them. Instructions were a little confusing to read and were definitely not written to educate the layman but fortunately the onscreen menus are so easy to use that you will seldom need the instructions.
